As an important energy substance, petroleum has brought huge convenience to human production and life.A large amount of petroleum resources are transported to all parts of the world through shipping. The shipping for oilincreases the risk of oil leakage. In the face of frequent oil spill accident risks, itisparticularly importantto choose an efficient emergency treatment method. In this paper two kinds of plant fibers were modified by use of the esterification modificationwithlipophilicity and hydrophobicity. The feasibility analysis of the two materials is carried out to meet the emergency requirements in the process of oil spill accidents and provide a new solution for the development and utilization of organic materials.(1)A natural organic material, such as banana peel,is used as a substrate, and an esterification modification method is used to modify the lipophilic and hydrophobic properties of organic materials under the environment of glacial acetic acid solution and N-bromosuccinimide.The modification methodis to increase the contact area of the material surface, changethe coulomb force between the material and the oil,and improve the lipophilic performance of the material.By optimizing the single factor analysis of materials and orthogonal experimental analysis, the modification conditonwas obtained thatthe solid-liquid ratio is 1:40,the catalyst mass fraction is 5g / m L,the reaction time is 4h,and the reaction temperature is 100?.The amount of oil absorbed by the modified banana peel could be increased by more than 4 times. The banana peel modification selected in this paper provides theoretical support for the modification of other similar organic materials.(2)Natural organic oil-absorbing materials have received widespread attention due to its good environmental adaptability. However, the maximum saturated oil absorption performance of materials during the process of oil spill accidents is also a key factor that cannot be ignored. The ramiematerial is selected to treat with N-bromosuccinimide as catalyst, and glacial acetic acid as modifier. The material is chemically modified under high temperature environment.Through systematic experiments on the materials,it is found that the solid-liquid ratio is 1:40,the catalyst mass fraction ?(NBS)is 2g/m L,the reaction temperature is 120?,and the reaction time is 2h.The maximum saturated oil absorption of modified ramie is 25.3g/g.From the first use to the fifth repeatability test, the saturated oil absorption decreased by only 6.6%.(3)Engineering feasibility assessment of the two modified material is done using AHP.The factors are divided four types. The one ismodifying material cost, which include raw material, the esterifying agents, catalysts, recovery. The second is efficiency, which focu on absorption efficiency of the modified material. The third is environmental friendliness, that is Waste reuse. The last one is multivariate importance reproducibility.According to the numerical ranking of weight importance, thefactors, such as biodegradation, recovery cost, efficiency and waste utilization are more important for developingnatural adsorbents to treat the oil spill.
