Cutting tools are industrial teeth.The cutting performance and manufacturing quality of the cutting tool are directly related to the dimensional accuracy,surface smoothness and processing efficiency of the workpiece.Compared with tools with complete cutting edges,RCF milling cutters have the advantages of non-stick cutters,smooth chip removal,high surface finish of finished products,low temperature and cutting force,etc.Drilling,slotting and side milling of aluminum alloy and other hardware materials.In the past,the design of the cutter geometry relied on experience or repeated trial-and-error trials,resulting in many experiments,long cycles,and high costs.This article takes RCF65 milling cutter as the research object,establishes a parametric modeling for its special structure,and uses finite element software to analyze the impact of RCF65 milling cutter angle and chip groove on the cutting performance and dynamic characteristics of the tool.For the geometry structure of RCF65 milling cutter,the mathematical equations of the radial section of the chip pocket and the axial section of the chip groove are derived,realize the rapid establishment of the three-dimensional model of the cutting edge of the tool,saving the modeling workload,it is convenient for the design and research of RCF65 milling cutter.Secondly,select the cutting simulation material constitutive model and finite element analysis software,and combine experiments to verify the accuracy and reliability of the established finite element analysis mode,the error between the simulated values of X and Y directions and the experimental values are within the acceptable range,and the trend of the simulated values is basically consistent with the experimental values,It laid the foundation for the cutting simulation research of RCF65 milling cutter.Finally,by analyzing the impact of RCF65 milling cutter geometry and angle on the cutting performance of the tool,according to the results,the rake angle,back angle,right helix angle,left helix angle and chip groove shape with better cutting performance are selected to establish a three-dimensional tool model Compared with the simulation of the unoptimized tool,the optimized RCF65 milling cutter's milling force Fx is reduced by19.35%,Fy is reduced by 67.27%,Fz is reduced by 77.01%,milling force is reduced by55.11%,temperature is reduced by 12.98%,and power is reduced by 15.51%.
