Research On Cycle Time Reduction Of Panel Furniture In S Company Based On Lean Thinking

In recent years,furniture manufacturing industry has developed rapidly in our country,but it is also facing great challenges,the competition among manufacturers is becoming fiercer and fiercer.Furniture enterprises want to enhance thier competitiveness.So they devote to reducing the ptoduct cycle time,while the quality of products is guaranteed,to quickly respond to customer demand and meet their expectations of short delivery.This research takes the panel workshop of S company as a sample,to explore the method to reduce the product cycle time based on lean thinking.First of all,we use value stream map to analyse the production process of typical product.We found that 95% of the process is non-value-added work.There are lots of wip in the workshop.So we analyse the material flow and the information flow of the workshop,and figure out the the composition of production cycle time.Successfully,we find out the waste during the process of panel furniture productin,and draw the future state map.Then,based on the future state map,in order to reduce the production cycle time,we design a overall plan to reduce the production cycle of panel furniture,which includes two directions:lean improvement of production process and informatization improvement of the workshop.1)The specific solutions for lean improvement of the production process include: establishing "standard parts" warehouse beside the work line,preparing hardware through a smarter way,implementing visual management of wip inventory between processes,applying the "water spider" operating system and the researching a pull system by using electronic kanban.2)As for the informatization improvement of workshop,we design the data collection point distribution and collection method according to the result of data flow analysis.Then,based on the characteristics of panel furniture production and the information demand,we analyse the function requirement of manufacturing execution system(MES)of panel furniture production workshop and determine the function requirement of MES system,After the implementation of MES system,based on the real-time acquisition of equipment data,materials data,quality data,employee data,the management of production process in the panel furniture production workshop become informational and timely,Finally we study a sheme to visualize the production process information,so as to improve the efficiency of managers and workers access to information.
