Resin-based friction materials are widely used in the field of vehicles and mechanical braking.The automobile manufacturing industry continues to develop in depth in areas such as safety and comfort,environmental protection,and high-speed heavy-duty vehicles.The key components related to vehicle driving safety,brake pads,are becoming more and more important.Therefore,the performance of brake pad's thermal stability,reliability,durability,and comfort put forward more stringent requirements.In the resin-based friction material,the reinforcing fiber as a component that has an important influence on the friction and wear performance and mechanical performance of the friction material can improve the high-temperature friction performance,wear resistance and provide a stable friction coefficient of the friction material.The article uses the orthogonal test method to optimize the formulation of a variety of reinforcing fiber content.At the same time,this paper uses the controlled variable method to study the effect of graphene content on the performance of phenolic resin friction materials.Using the method of one-time hot press molding,samples of resin-based friction materials of carbon/ceramic fibers and resin-based friction materials with different graphene contents were prepared.The friction and wear properties and physical properties of the two friction material samples were tested by using a fixed-speed friction tester,a shear strength tester,and a Rockwell hardness tester.Through range analysis,the effect of each fiber and content on the performance of friction materials was discussed;and the best formula of fiber ratio was selected by combining with fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method.Analysis of Variance was used to study the effect of adding graphene on the properties of friction materials.The results show that the change of carbon fiber content has the greatest impact on the wear rate of resin friction materials.At high temperatures,the effect on the wear rate is significantly improved.The change of ceramic fiber content has the greatest influence on the friction material hardness,internal shear strength and temperature-increasing friction coefficient.Changes in the content of aramid fiber have a greater impact on the internal shear strength and friction coefficient of heating of the friction material,changes in the content of brass fiber have the greatest impact on the recovery friction coefficient and wear rate of the friction material.The content of brass fiber is increased and can be enhanced the recovery performance of the friction coefficient,while the copper film formed by friction reduces the wear rate of the friction material.Based on the comprehensive influence degree of each fiber on the performance of the friction material,and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation of each formula,it is worthwhile that the appropriate amount of fiber is 3% carbon fiber content,3% ceramic fiber content,2%aramid pulp content,and 6% brass fiber content.At the same time,the addition of graphene can increase the hardness of the friction material and has a significant effect on the stability of the friction coefficient;however,graphene will affect the bonding effect of the phenolic resin and reduce the internal shear strength of the friction material.Through finite element simulation analysis: increasing the proportion of the contact area of the friction material can reduce the maximum temperature of the friction material and the Mises stress value,and slow down the wear of the friction material.
