Grinding is the most commonly used means of processing,in the mechanical processing,grinding processing in the total amount of mechanical processing accounted for30%-40%.The quality of the finished workpiece is greatly affected by the degree of wear and surface passivation of the grinding wheel working surface.When the grinding wheel is passivated,not only the efficiency of the grinding wheel will be reduced,but also too much cutting heat will appear in the grinding process,which will adversely affect the accuracy and quality of the grinding wheel,if the grinding wheel is not maintained,then the finished product can not be guaranteed quality and dimensional accuracy can not be achieved,at the same time,the grinding force and heat generated by the passivated wheel will suddenly increase,and the external surface of the workpiece will be burned,if it is serious,it will break the grinding wheel and cause accident.Therefore,the real-time and accurate measurement of grinding wheel passivation and wear is a key technology,which promotes the development of grinding process towards more precision,higher speed,higher efficiency and automation.In this paper,the error separation technique is used to measure the distance between the laser displacement sensor and the grinding wheel,a real-time measuring system for grinding wheel passivation,surface appearance and wear degree is set up.This system can reduce the influence of spindle motion error on the accuracy and stability of the traditional method,and can solve the problems of other methods such as small calibration interval.The main findings of the study are as follows:(1)the design principle of the real-time detection system is illustrated by drawing the structure Diagram through the theoretical research of the error separation technology,and the main influence conditions of the error on the sensitivity and precision of the measurement system are studied.(2)selecting proper parts as the main part of the real-time detection system of surface profile and wear degree of grinding wheel,a real-time detection system of surface profile and wear degree of grinding wheel of surface grinding machine is constructed based on Lab VIEW technology,data Processing Technology and signal analysis technology are adopted to solve the problem of system measurement error.(3)with the help of the real-time detection system of the surface profile and wear degree of grinding wheel,the surface profile and wear degree of grinding wheel are detected in real-time and the data results are studied.The experimental results show that the real-time measuring system of the surface profile and wear degree of the grinding wheel constructed in this paper can effectively detect the surface profile and wear degree of the grinding wheel under the experimental grinding environment,it has the characteristics of high speed,long measuring distance and high precision.
