Monosodium fumarate has a wide range of uses in the food industry and catalyst fields.In optimizing the crystallization process,the solubility value of monosodium fumarate in commonly used pure solvents and binary mixed solvent systems is indispensable.However,the solubility of monosodium fumarate in related solvents has not been reported so far.Therefore,it is necessary to study the dissolution behavior of monosodium fumarate in depth.This article first selects maltitol and xylitol to verify the static weighing method,which proves that the static weighing method used in this article can be used to measure the solubility of monosodium fumarate.The static weight method was used to study monosodium fumarate in twelve pure solvents(water,methanol,ethanol,n-propanol,n-butanol,n-pentanol,isopropanol,isobutanol,acetic acid from 283.15 to 323.15 K).Solubility in ethyl ester,1,4 dioxane,acetonitrile and acetone)and four binary solvents(water+methanol,water+ethanol,water+isopropanol and water+acetone),the order of solubility in pure solvents It is: water > methanol > ethyl acetate > 1,4 dioxane > ethanol >n-propanol > n-butanol > acetonitrile > n-pentanol > isopropanol > acetone > isobutanol.The solubility of monosodium fumarate is positively correlated with the experimental temperature and positive solvent composition of all solvent systems.Through X-ray powder diffraction(PXRD)analysis of monosodium fumarate crystals prepared in different solvents,it was found that there was no crystalline transformation in all the solvent systems investigated.Through data analysis,it is found that the dissolution behavior of monosodium fumarate in pure solvents is mainly affected by the properties of the solvent,including polarity,hydrogen bond acidity(?),hydrogen bond basicity(?),bipolarity/polarizability(?*)and Hildebrand solubility parameter(?H).In addition,this paper uses the modified Apelblat model,the Jouyban-Acree model and the Apelblat-Jouyban-Acree model to correlate solubility data.The results show that the three thermodynamic models can better predict the solubility of monosodium fumarate.Considering factors such as ARD,RMSD and the number of model parameters,the Apelblat-Jouyban-Acree model has the best fitting effect.
