Research On The Government’s Role In The Development Of Wuzhou Gem Industry

Wuzhou is the port city closest to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area among the western cities.Its superior geographical location has enabled Wuzhou’s gem industry to develop rapidly.It provides a source of power that cannot be underestimated for the economic growth of Wuzhou City.To this end,Wuzhou has issued a series of policies and measures to support the development of the gem industry,accelerate the extension of the gem industry to a higher-end industrial chain,and enhance the overall development level of the gem industry and the comprehensive competitiveness of enterprises.However,due to the limitations of the market,the government’s role is not adequate enough to cause bottlenecks in the development of the gem industry.Therefore,strengthening the research on the role of the government is of great significance for effectively handling the relationship between the government and the market,realizing the healthy and sustainable development of the gem industry and revitalizing the local economy.In order to have a deeper understanding of the general situation of the development of the gem industry in Wuzhou City,the author takes the Wuzhou City government as the research object and focuses on the role of local governments in the development of the gem industry.First,the article uses the literature research method to find out the general situation of domestic and foreign research.At the same time,it conducts in-depth research on the status quo of the government’s role in the development of the gem industry in Wuzhou through field interviews and questionnaire surveys,and obtains strong first-hand information and data.It provides a research foundation for the necessity of the government’s role in the development of the gem industry in Wuzhou City,and expounds the measures of the government’s role in the development of the gem industry.Secondly,starting from the actions implemented by the government,it analyzes the problems and reasons that still exist in the role of the government in the process of promoting the development of the gem industry.Finally,based on the analysis and combing of the existing research,combined with the actual situation of Wuzhou City,the specific countermeasures for optimizing the role of the government are proposed,and the experience and reference for other regional governments to promote industrial development are provided.This paper is mainly divided into the following parts:The first part introduces the background,research significance,research methods,research ideas,innovations and deficiencies of the thesis research,as well as the status quo and existing problems of the gem industry development,and the general situation of the government’s role in the development of the gem industry at home and abroad.The literature was sorted out.The second part defines the related concepts of the gem industry,the role of the government,and the role of problems.The fifth part elaborates the countermeasures to effectively play the role of the government in the development of the gem industry in Wuzhou.Based on the analysis and combing the existing research,combined with the actual situation of Wuzhou,we propose specific methods for optimizing the role of the government: overall planning and guiding the development of the gem
