Research On The Inheritance Of Willow Culture In Linshu County

Traditional handicraft is a kind of production and way of life accompanied by social development and life practice.It was the most important labor mode and production method during the period of agricultural civilization.However,with the advancement of industrialization and the development of market economy,producers and consumers in contemporary society are gradually separated,and traditional handicrafts that carry historical culture have gradually become commodities.Consumers ’ consumption experience is becoming more and more independent of things “created and produced by oneself”,and how to “retain craftsmanship” has increasingly become one of the hot issues in society.Linshu County is located in the Shuhe River Basin of Linyi City,Shandong Province,and is the famous "Hometown of Willow Weaving" in the country.According to the data on the Linshu County People’s Government website,the total output value of the willow weaving industry was about 17 billion yuan from January to November 2020.Seven of the nine towns and streets in the county have a willow processing industry,and tens of thousands of farmers are engaged in willow-related work.People here are "born of willow",so the willow industry has become one of the most representative pillar industries in the local area.While bringing about regional economic development,willow weaving also carries local cultural changes.This research selects Liuzhuang Village,Qingyun Town,the representative place of the willow culture origin in Linshu County,as the research site to investigate the development and inheritance of the traditional willow industry and willow culture in Linshu County.Use symbolic interaction theory and cultural functionalism theory combined with qualitative research methods to analyze the willow culture of "willow for a living" and explore the inheritance of local willow culture.This article first analyzes the historical origin of the "Hometown of Willow Weaving" and the reasons for "prosperity due to willow",and found that the willow weaving was sent by craftsmen and people with good expectations and blessings.Secondly,from the time dimension,combined with the local folk customs,the people from the "birth,old age,sickness and death" are connected and connected with the willow weaving,showing that the willow weaving work itself contains strong regional environmental factors and the inherent character of the craftsman.From the spatial dimension,the social value of the traditional handicraft-willow weaving in Linshu County is summarized from the idea of "hand" as the starting point,"work" as the method,"art" as the value,and "product" as the carrier.Based on the above research findings,the local use of willow as a carrier creates social value and also affects local social changes.The local government took this as an opportunity to actively promote the development of willow industry culture and issued various supporting policies.Today,the effect is more obvious,expanding the domestic and foreign influence of willow.However,the research also found that the willow culture is facing the risk of inheritance fault,and the integration of willow culture and economic products is not effective.Finally,the author proposes countermeasures from the perspective of the government,enterprises,and inheritors.Focusing on the advantages of local willow weaving,tapping willow handicraft products to convey a delicate and simple humanistic and rustic flavor,evoke people’s most essential and primitive cultural memory and local cultural identity,and realize the joint development of willow crafts and the regional economy of villages and towns.
