In order to improve the use time and use safety of outdoor cotton fabric,it is necessary to modify the cotton fabric with UV resistance, flame retardant and hydrophobic properties. This paper will carry on the cotton fabric from these three aspects. The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Tannic acid and copper ion were used to enhance the ultraviolet protection of cotton fabricIt is reported that the phenolic network formed by the complexation of tannic acid and cupric chloride on the surface of cotton fabric is firmly attached to the substrate to enhance the function of cotton fabric.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)were used to characterize the surface morphology and elements.Instron was used to characterize the mechanical properties of the modified cotton fabric. The anti-UV properties of the cotton fabric were measured on the system of anti-UV penetration and sunscreen protection. The effects of different concentration of metal ions, tannic acid and metal ions on UV protection were discussed. The UPF value of cotton fabric treated with tannic acid and copper ion can reach 172.1,and the complex powder and solution of tannic acid and copper ion were characterized by infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and ultraviolet spectrophotometer, which further proved the ultraviolet protection performance of tannic acid and copper ion chelate.(2)Preparation and properties of UV resistant and flame retardant cotton fabricsThe modified cotton fabric was aminated with diethylenetriamine, and then reacted with tannic acid and phytic acid in order to prepare a kind of UV and flame retardant cotton fabric. The surface morphology and elements of the modified cotton fabric were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR).The ultimate oxygen index, vertical combustion and cone calorimetry of cotton fabric were tested to evaluate the ultraviolet resistance of cotton fabric, and the effect of different content of flame retardant on the flame retardant performance of cotton fabric was discussed, and the mechanical properties of modified cotton fabric were analyzed. The limit oxygen index of the modified cotton fabric is 34%,and the total heat release is 1.8MJ/m~2,which is lower than that of the modified cotton fabric. Finally, the surface morphology of the burning cotton fabric was analyzed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.(3)Preparation and application of UV resistant, flame retardant and hydrophobic cotton fabricUsing divinyl three amine amination modification of cotton fabric, and tannic acid, phytic acid reaction in turn again, and then on the surface it deposits a layer of PDMS,the preparation of a kind of anti ultraviolet, cotton fabric flame retardant, hydrophobic,by measuring the static contact Angle of modified cotton fabrics to assess hydrophobic performance of cotton fabric, and discusses the different concentrations of PDMS on hydrophobic properties of cotton fabrics. The ultimate oxygen index, vertical combustion and cone calorimetry tests of cotton fabrics were carried out to evaluate the UV resistance of cotton fabrics.Of the modified cotton fabric contact Angle is 145.2°,limit oxygen index was33%,total heat release 0.9 MJ/m~2,prevent ultraviolet coefficient can reach 147.6,by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)and Fourier infrared spectrum(FTIR),the surface morphology of modified cotton fabrics had been used to characterize the and elements, and the mechanical properties of the modified cotton fabrics are analyzed.Similarly, scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy were used to analyze the surface morphology of the burning cotton fabric.
