Fabric finishing agents(C?8)containing long perfluorocarbon chains have excellent water-and oil-repellent properties,but their use has been gradually banned due to their difficulty in degradation and environmental accumulation hazards.However,water-and oil-repellent finishing agents containing short perfluorocarbon chains(C?6)have relatively less harm to the environment,and have attracted much attention in the research and development of environmental benign fabric finishing agents.In this thesis,short perfluorocarbon chain modified styrene monomers containing trifluoromethyl,hexafluoroisopropyl and heptafluoropropyl were prepared from pentafluorostyrene by reaction with trifluoroethanol,hexafluoroisopropyl and heptafluorobutanol,respectively.Then these monomers were copolymerized with methyl methacrylate and hydroxyethyl methacrylate by solution polymerization,respectively,to afford a series of copolymers containing short perfluorocarbon chain and rigid benzene ring structure.Thermogravimetric analysis showed that the thermal stability of copolymers was significantly different,the weight loss temperature was mainly distributed between 150?430 ?,and the temperature range of 50 % weight loss was 370?400 ?.Copolymers with higher fluorine contents possess better thermal stability.Then,these fluoropolymers were finished on cotton fabric,and the influence of initiator and contents of fluorinated monomers on hydrophobic and oleophobic properties of the finishing agent was investigated by contact Angle test.The results showed that the copolymer grafted with heptafluoropropyl had the best hydrophobic and oleophobic properties,and the water contact Angle of the finished cotton fabric surface reached 138°,and the contact Angle to n-hexadecane reached 105°.The water contact Angle can be maintained at 115° after 10 times of water washing recycle,indicating that it has good water washing durability.
