Fluorinated acrylic polymers are currently used widely in industry and in mass production as the surface treatment agent with excellent hydrophobic and oleophobic properties,high chemical stability,good thermal stability,low refractive index and good film-forming property.They are widely used in textiles,packaging materials,leather,paper and other surface treatment.In this thesis,starting from tribromoneopentyl alcohol,dibromomethyl oxetane was obtained,then followed by treatment with paracetamol and fluorinated alcohols?2,2,2-trifluoroethanol,2,2,3,3,3-pentafluoro-1-propanol and 2,2,3,3,4,4,4-heptafluoro-1-butanol?,the anilines 6,7 and 8 containing trifluoromethyl,pentafluoroethyl,heptafluoropropyl and oxetane moiety were prepared in reasonable yields respectively.They were acylated with methacryloyl chloride to give fluoroalkylated acrylamide monomers 10,11 and 12 containing the rigid structure of phenyl ring and oxetane.Their structures were characterized by 1H NMR,13C NMR,19F NMR,FT-IR and HRMS.By using the method of solution polymerization,the acrylamides with short fluoroalkyl chains 10,11 and 12,methyl methacrylate,glycidyl methacrylate and butyl acrylate were used as the monomers,and acrylic co-polymer P1,P2,P3,P4,P5 and P6 containing the rigid structure of phenyl ring and oxetane moiety were obtained respectively.Their structures were characterized by 1H NMR,19F NMR,FT-IR,GPC and elemental analysis.The thermal stability of these polymers were tested by thermal gravimetric analysis.The weight loss temperatures of the polymers were mainly in the range between 250? and 450?.The temperatures at 50% weight loss were mainly in the range of 350?-400?,which indicated that these polymers had good thermal stabilities.The copolymers were applied to the cotton fabrics by pad-dry finishing process.The morphology of the surface of the treated fabrics was studied by using scanning electron microscopy?SEM?,and showed that the surface of the treated fabrics was covered by a smooth layer of film formed by the co-polymers.The element contents of the surface was studied by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy?XPS?and the surface property was studied by measuring the contact angle?CA?of water.The results showed that the copolymers prepared possesed good hydrophobic property.The water contact angles of the treated fabrics were in the range of 138-143°.And also,they showed good washing durabilities,the contact angles of water were still in the range of 117-121° after 10 standard washings.
