For nearly half a century,resource consumption and environmental pollution have become the hot issue of the whole society,China's environmental pollution problem is accompanied by industrialization.According to the Statistical Yearbook of Baotou City2020,the two industries with the highest total energy consumption in Baotou City are:ferrous metal smelting and rolling industry,non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling industry.The energy consumption of these two industries has accounted for 85.48% of the total energy consumption of Baotou City,if the energy required by power production in these two industries is removed,the remaining energy consumption still accounts for 74.97% of the total energy consumption.Therefore,if the pollution prevention and control situation of the above two industries can be effectively improved,it will contribute a great deal to winning the battle of pollution prevention and control and realizing the green road of industrial development in Baotou City.For this reason,this paper selected ferrous metal smelting and rolling process and non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling process representative industrial products low carbon steel and electrolytic aluminum for research.Based on the regional life cycle assessment of Baotou energy-intensive representative industrial electrolytic aluminium and low carbon steel "from cradle to gate" quantitative environmental impact assessment,through combing the domestic and foreign research present situation,using the Impact World+ of regional life cycle impact assessment method,the environmental load of electrolytic aluminum and low carbon steel is obtained,and the product ecological design scheme to reduce the environmental load of electrolytic aluminum and low carbon steel is put forward.According to the characteristic results of Impact World+ impact assessment,in terms of environmental impact,the impact of electrolytic aluminum and low carbon steel production process on ocean acidification,climate change impact on the quality of the ecosystem,impact of land occupation on biodiversity,impact of land conversion on biodiversity,freshwater acidification,land acidification,freshwater eutrophication,freshwater ecotoxicity and marine eutrophication of these nine kinds of the environment loads is more significant.According to the standardization results,the major environmental impact types of electrolytic aluminum and low carbon steel are as follows: human health and ecosystem quality.Through the analysis of the key unit process of producing environmental load of electrolytic aluminum and low carbon steel,it is found that the environmental load of the whole production process of electrolytic aluminum mainly comes from the production of alumina,carbon anode and electrolytic aluminum;the environmental load of the whole production process of low carbon steel mainly comes from the production of coke,sinter,pig iron and low carbon steel.Based on the analysis results,a product ecological design scheme to reduce the environmental load of electrolytic aluminum and low carbon steel was put forward.The key points were product structure design,product ecological identification,product ecological diagnosis and the construction of a comprehensive product ecological design management system.In addition,according to the type of products required by customers,this paper designs the product development route diagram for electrolytic aluminum and low carbon steel companies,so as to integrate ecological design into the company's daily management system.
