With the continuous progress of society,high-end manufacturing industries such as automobiles,ships and aerospace have also ushered in vigorous development.However,traditional structural materials can no longer meet the performance requirements needs of various industries.At present,it is urgent to develop new structural materials with better performance.As a representative of new structural materials,honeycomb sandwich structure has the advantages of high specific strength,high specific stiffness and light weight,which has been widely used in the automotive industry and aerospace.As a new innovative structure of honeycomb sandwich structure,quasi-honeycomb sandwich structure has more excellent mechanical properties and energy absorption characteristics,and the new quasi-honeycomb sandwich structure has more design space.Therefore,this paper will take the new quasi-honeycomb sandwich structure as the research object,and use the method of combining the theoretical derivation of mechanical properties parameters and the optimal design of structure size to explore the optimal structure size parameters of the new quasi-honeycomb sandwich structure.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Optimization design of new quasi-honeycomb sandwich structure.In order to improve the equivalent mechanical properties of the new type of quasi-honeycomb sandwich structure,based on the analysis of the effect about the size of the sandwich cell on its equivalent mechanical performance,the cell size is selected as the design variable,and the equivalent mechanical performance parameter is the objective function,a mathematical model is established by optimizing the equivalent mechanical properties of quasi-honeycomb sandwich structure,and multi-objective genetic algorithm is used to optimize the design.(2)The equivalent mechanical properties of quasi-honeycomb sandwich structure are analyzed.Based on the cell theory and considering the influencing factors of the adhesive,analyze the mechanical properties of the quasi-honeycomb sandwich structure.The calculation formulas of equivalent elastic modulus,equivalent shear modulus,stiffness and weight of the quasi-honeycomb sandwich structure are derived by using the theory of composite material mechanics and the principle of equivalent strain energy.(3)Optimization design of new quasi-honeycomb sandwich structure.In order to obtain the optimal equivalent mechanical properties of the new quasi-honeycomb sandwich structure,the thickness of each layer of the sandwich structure is taken as the design variable,and the equivalent elastic modulus,equivalent shear modulus,bending stiffness,torsional stiffness and weight calculation formula are taken as the objective function to optimize the design.(4)Example application.The quasi-honeycomb sandwich structure is applied to the lightweight design of the iron square manhole cover,and a new type of quasi-honeycomb manhole cover structure is designed.The research shows that the overall weight of the manhole cover is reduced by 28.4% after the optimized design,and the lightweight effect is significant.The research content of this paper can provide a certain reference for the subsequent analysis of the influence of various size parameters of the honeycomb-like sandwich structure,structural optimization design and application.
