Under the “Belt and Road” initiative,exploring the cultural connotation of traditional colors to expand the direction of design innovation has become an important trend in modern color design.As the peak economic period of China's feudal society,the Tang Dynasty's feminine clothing colors formed unique visual characteristics in a unique social environment.The research is based on the female clothing culture of the Tang Dynasty,based on historical documents and modern experimental analysis,and on the basis of combing its color culture and innovative elements,constructing a clothing color culture application model to better serve modern design practices.First of all,the article sorts out the color culture and color rules of women's clothing in the Tang Dynasty through literature research and physical investigation,and explores the relationship between the color culture and color performance of women's clothing in Tang Dynasty.Secondly,we take the red series as an example for in-depth research.Based on the color culture and the color making method recorded in the literature,color experiments were carried out to construct the red spectrum of women's clothing in Tang Dynasty.Finally,taking the above axis research results as guidance,through the form of questionnaires,we should fully grasp the needs of consumers,combined with the analysis results of modern design cases,summarize the traditional clothing color cultural innovation application model,and carry out the analysis of the red spectrum of female clothing in Tang Dynasty to practice of design innovation of silk scarves.Under the background of "One Belt One Road",the research provides a new path for the inheritance of color culture in design practice by building a bridge between traditional color culture and modern design context,and provides a new platform for spreading Chinese traditional culture.Its research model and cultural innovation application methods,with the help of modern color science tools,use literature combing,quantitative analys and experimental restoration,to integrate the cultural connotation of traditional clothing colors,and to tap innovative elements of application,which have certain research and innovation significance.The research fully explores the cultural connotation of traditional colors,and combines consumer demand and the characteristics of the times to drive modern design innovation,deepen the artistic exchanges of various countries under the "New Silk Road",and demonstrate the charm of the color culture of major countries.
