Nitrile butadiene rubber(NBR)has excellent physical and mechanical properties,good oil resistance,benzene resistance,heat resistance and wear resistance.It has been widely used in various oil resistant products,and is widely used in automobile,aerospace,petroleum exploitation,petrochemical and other fields.In addition,it is also widely used in rubber gloves,food packaging films and other aspects.Attapulgite(AT)is a kind of water-containing magnesium aluminum silicate clay mineral with layer chain structure.It has special structure,high specific surface area,good adsorption capacity,strong mechanical properties and thermal stability.As a nano filler of polymer materials,it has broad application prospects in the field of rubber,plastics and other polymer materials.In this paper,silver loaded attapulgite was prepared by analyzing and characterizing the raw ore of attapulgite.The attapulgite was modified by silane coupling agent Si-69 in situ.Four kinds of composite materials,AT/NBR,AT-Ag/NBR,tubular kaolin/NBR and flaky kaolin/NBR,were prepared by mechanical blending method.The effect of different parts of mineral materials filled with NBR was studied The hardness,tear strength,tensile strength,100%elongation stress,Mooney viscosity,vulcanization property,aging property and oil resistance of the composites were tested.The effects of mineral materials and their modified materials on the properties of NBR were discussed.The work and conclusions are as follows:(1)It is found that the curing time t90 of AT/NBR composites is about 5 min when the at content is less than 10 phr.When the AT content continues to increase,t90 has a large transition,more than 11 min.judging from the curing situation,the efficiency is higher when the at content is less than 10 phr,which provides a reference for the actual production.(2)The results showed that AT-Ag had little effect on the vulcanization properties of NBR,indicating that AT-Ag had no significant effect on the vulcanization process of NBR,which provided a basis for the actual production of AT-Ag filled NBR.When AT/AT-Ag is 3/7,there is a big mutation,and the tensile strength and 100%elongation stress also increase slightly.It is found that the optimal ratio of AT and AT-Ag is 1:1.(3)The results show that the three mineral fillers have little effect on the hardness of the composites,only one unit changes;the vulcanization time t90 of AT is 3 min 35s,while the other two kaolin fillers are more than 4 min,and the vulcanization time of AT is the shortest,which shows good filling performance.Based on all data analysis,AT/NBR has better comprehensive performance.
