Research On Coordinated Development Of Beibuwan Seaborne Coal Demand And Terminal Handling Capacity

Under the background of the new era,Beibu Gulf Port is responsible for"building a major international channel facing ASEAN,creating a new strategic pivot for the opening and development of southwestern central and southern regions,and forming an important gateway for the 21st century Maritime Silk Road and the Silk Road economic link." The three important missions,the proposal of a new land-sea channel in the west,has brought unprecedented development opportunities for the extension of the Beibu Gulf port hinterland.With the rapid growth of cargo collection and decentralization ports brought about by economic growth under the policy dividend,the structural contradictions of the existing terminal capacity are prominent,and the cargo throughput capacity may appear gaps.Therefore,the construction and planning of the Beibu Gulf Port terminal is very important.The thesis mainly starts with the analysis of coal consumption in Guangxi coal sub-sectors and key enterprises above designated size,and summarizes the current situation and characteristics of the coal supply and demand and transportation system in Guangxi.Based on the analysis of the factors affecting the coal consumption demand in Guangxi,the development trend of the seaborne coal demand and coal transportation structure in Guangxi is analyzed.Based on the prediction of the seaborne coal throughput in the Beibu Gulf region from 2020 to 2025 using the model,the adaptability of the throughput capacity of coal terminals in the Beibu Gulf region is analyzed and corresponding conclusions and development suggestions are put forward.This study uses transportation economic theory,synergy theory and other theories,and uses literature analysis,model prediction,and balance analysis to analyze the current capacity shortages and structural contradictions of coal terminals in the Beibu Gulf region.The optimization path and development countermeasures of the coal terminal’s throughput capacity are studied.The direction of terminal capacity optimization is berth structure adjustment,supporting facilities construction,regional cooperation,source marketing and multimodal transport development.Development countermeasures analyze national policy support,broaden financing channels,encourage talent policies,technological innovation and supply chain operation mechanism,etc.,which have certain reference value for future development planning of coal terminals.
