N,N'-xylyl-p-phenylenediamine(DTPD)is an after-effect rubber anti-aging agent with excellent performance.It has the advantages of strong oxidation resistance,resistance to extraction,not easy to volatilize,and good compatibility with rubber.According to the requirements of a cooperative factory in Jiangsu,this paper studies the DTPP production process using aniline,o-toluidine and hydroquinone as raw materials.From aniline,o-toluidine and hydroquinone as raw materials,through the catalysis of ferric chloride through condensation reaction,water washing,and vacuum distillation,successfully prepared DTPP that meets the requirements of the national standard,and then uses the relatively inexpensive catechol fraction Instead of hydroquinone,the improved synthesis process was studied,and new processes were developed with it to reduce the production cost of the factory and improve the competitiveness of the company.This article first studied the synthesis process using aniline,o-toluidine and hydroquinone as raw materials,and then determined the production process of DTPD:with a raw material,aniline,aniline,aniline,anhydrous trichloride.The iron is a catalyst,toluene is a condensation reaction,and finally the sodium pyrophosphate is terminated as a reaction terminator.After boiling water was washed,the resulting crude product is distilled to the final sample,and the product is characterized.Heating and reduction of 0.1%,ash content of 0.241%,initial melting point 94.44 ° C,effective material content 94.96% Each indicator has reached national standard(HG/T4233-2011).Therefore,qualified DTPD samples can be prepared by process development experiments.In the second part of this article,the improved production process of DTPD was studied,with the intention of introducing lower-priced catechol to participate in the reaction to synthesize samples.In the research,by adjusting the molar ratio of hydroquinone to catechol in the raw materials to 9:1,4:1,3:2,0:1,respectively,the process improvement experiment was carried out according to the process and conditions in the development process.The results show that the target product can be synthesized after adding part of catechol,but the reaction is not complete,causing the partial index of the sample to not meet the standard,and the yield of the sample decreases as the proportion of catechol increases.Therefore,the laboratory synthesis process of DTPD has been successfully developed through the research of this article,and the anti-aging agent that meets the national standard has been synthesized.However,the synthesis of DTPD by the introduction of catechol to the new process needs to be improved and improved.
