As an important category of steel products in China,strip shape control is very important.The roll profile is the basis of strip shape.The existing initial roll profile does not have the ability of controllable online wear self compensation,so the flatness control has to increase the force on the roll to adjust the bearing roll gap in many ways,resulting in accelerated wear of roll profile and reduced service life of roll profile,which is a bottleneck of strip control technology.Based on the principle of thermoelectric refrigeration,the electronic temperature control technology of roll profile is proposed in this paper,which can accurately control the temperature distribution of roll.By using the local thermal expansion(contraction)drive of roll,the on-line micro scale adjustment of roll profile can be stably realized,and then the flatness control and on-line compensation of roll profile wear can be achieved.Present paper will focus on the research of roll profile electronic temperature control technology.(1)The mathematical model of temperature field and stress field of electronic temperature control roller in cylindrical coordinates was established.The finite element model of electronic temperature control roller was constructed by using finite element software,which provides a finite element model for the study of temperature and thermal deformation in the process of electronic temperature control.(2)The experimental platform of ?120 mm × 300 mm roll electronic temperature control was established.Based on the platform,the accuracy of the model was verified by experiments,which provides an accurate simulation model for the subsequent research of roll electronic temperature control technology.(3)Through the finite element model,the change of current parameters and position of Tec electronic temperature control plate in different combinations and the influence of external cooling mechanism on roll profile curve were simulated and analyzed,which provides the basis for the application of roll profile electronic temperature control technology.(4)Through the electronic temperature control technology,the cubic and quartic roll profile curves needed in the actual production process were realized.Taking the work roll of 1850 temper mill in a cold rolling mill as the research object,the roll profile obtained by simulation matched the actual work roll profile.
