Natural rubber is widely used in rubber industry because of its excellent resilience,plasticity,fatigue resistance and processability.However,the strength of pure natural rubber can not meet the needs of practical application.Therefore,various reinforcing fillers should be added to the natural rubber to further improve the process performance,mechanical properties and dynamic properties of the rubber.Among them,silica and carbon black are two kinds of fillers widely used in rubber industry.However,due to the complex production process and high price,it is difficult to avoid acid waste liquid in the production process.The production of carbon black also takes oil,natural gas and other non renewable resources as raw materials.While "made in China 2025" puts forward the comprehensive implementation of green manufacturing,intelligent manufacturing and green manufacturing will become the key development direction in the future.In conclusion,it has a good application prospect to develop a kind of rubber reinforcing material with low price and clean environment protection.Natural silicon fiber is an environmentally friendly and non-toxic industrial mineral,which is cheap.The development of silicon fiber as reinforcement material is helpful for resource utilization.Silicon fiber can effectively reduce rolling resistance of tires and improve the processability of rubber,and also meet the requirements of "made in China2025",and is more suitable for manufacturing green tires.The main research work of silicon fiber in this paper is as follows:1.The mechanism of modification of silicon fiber was studied.The effect of Si69 and potassium oleate on the modification effect of natural silicon fiber was studied.The optimal usage of each modifier was determined by studying the influence of different dosage of each modifier on the activation index of the modified silicon fiber,so as to achieve the best effect.2.The effect of silicon fiber on the reinforcement of natural rubber was studied.It is found that the natural silicon fiber has a certain reinforcement to the natural rubber.By adding silicon fiber to the rubber,the hardness and the constant elongation stress of the vulcanizate can be increased and the curing rate can be accelerated.3.The influence of different size silicon fiber on the properties of natural rubber composite was analyzed.The experimental results show that the Mooney viscosity of the blended rubber increases with the decrease of the grain size of silicon fiber.The comprehensive properties of the four kinds of particles are the best when the particle size is 5.06 ?m,and the tensile strength reaches 27.14 MPa and the elongation at break is 588.25%.4.The effect of silicon fiber equivalent replacement of different parts of silica on the properties of natural rubber composite was studied.It was found that when 20 phr silica were replaced by 20 phr silicon fiber,the physical and mechanical properties were at the same level,but the processing performance and the dispersion of the filler were improved,and the rolling resistance was obviously reduced.5.The effect of silicon fiber equivalent replacing carbon black with different parts on the properties of natural rubber composite was studied.When 15 phr silicon fiber were used instead of carbon black,the initial shear modulus decreased by 43%,Payne effect was obviously weakened,and the overall performance of natural rubber composite was the best when 10 phr silicon fiber were used instead of 10 phr carbon black.6.The effects of two mixing processes on the properties of silicon fiber / natural rubber composites were compared.Compared with the traditional mechanical blending method,the Mooney viscosity of the composite prepared by wet mixing process is reduced by 75.27%,and the tensile strength reaches 26.5MPa,and the compression heat generation performance is better.In conclusion,silicon fiber as a natural reinforcing filler in rubber industry can improve the comprehensive performance of rubber,and also has the advantages of clean and environmental protection and low price,and has a great application prospect,and provides some reference for the production practice.
