The Research On The Transformation And Upgrading Development Of Small And Medium-sized Manufacturing Enterprises In The Context Of Supply-side Structural Reform

Supply-side structural reform was proposed in China in 2015,emphasizing the acceleration of industrial transformation and upgrading,with the manufacturing sector being the focus.Among the business entities in C District,C City,small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises,represented by private enterprises,are the pillars of local economic development and have made great contributions to local economic development and employment.Stainless steel industry as one of the six manufacturing pillar industries in C District,the development of which has been hindered in recent years,is in urgent need of transformation and upgrading.This paper takes the stainless steel industry in C District as an example to study the development of transformation and upgrading of small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises in the context of supply-side structural reform.Firstly,sorting out the basic connotation of supply-side structural reform and the intrinsic connection with the manufacturing industry,manufacturing industry transformation and upgrading,Porter diamond model theory;Secondly,using the qualitative research method to summarize the existing economic and social environment in C District and the development history and status of the stainless steel industry,the data analysis method to quantitatively analyze the main economic data over the past five years;Thirdly,selecting 20 Stainless steel medium-sized enterprises as a research sample,mainly using the survey method,which involves systematic data collection,questionnaires,field research and interviews;According to the results of the survey,using Porter diamond model to analyse the dilemma of and the main reasons for the development of the industry.Through the investigation and research,it is found that the stainless steel industry mainly exists in the low and medium capacity overcapacity,low product innovation,environmental pollution and energy consumption and other issues at present.Finally,countermeasures are suggested from enterprise and government,such as implementing innovation-driven,deepening simplification and decentralization,to promote the transformation and upgrading of the industry.
