Goosed by the step foreward of the industrial field,the function requirements of machine tools have been steadily accelerated.Taking the complicacy of physical construction of machine tools and the precision of the coordination between the parts,the CNC machine tools are easily affected by the processing environment and working conditions,which causes the damage of the degree of accuracy and steadiness of machine tools.The truth that the distortion error influenced by temperature of machine tool has the highest ratio in all errors has already been demonstrated by test,and for high-grade machine tools,the ratio even achieves 70%.In addition,in the process of machining,intence flutter matter will dramatically abate the cutting quality of the machined parts,and also impact the bit tool and construction of the machine tool.Chatter matter has critically impeded the development of improving the overall function of machine tools.The distortion influenced by temperature and flutter matter of machine tools accounts for more than 50% of the errors of machine tools.Therefore,the related research about how to ameliorate the distortion influenced by temperature and flutter matter was carried on in the article.Firstly,by comparing and analyzing the measurement methods of thermal error of machine tools,the "five-spot method" is used to meter the thermal error,and the method of temperature gauge points' majorization and theory of the thermal error modeling are elaborated in the paper.The mechanisation of flutter is also discussed theoretically,and the regular pattern and feature of flutter in time domain and frequency domain is explored respectively through the analysis of spindle measurement signalSecondly,based on the analysis of the related theory and data of thermal error and chatter of machine tool,a machine tool performance control system is proposed.Through the collection of machine tool state information and the processing of upper computer program,the thermal error prediction of machine tool and the monitoring and identification of the chatter of machine tools are completed.In order to realize the operation and maintenance of the dynamic performance of machine tools,the thermal error compensation method based on the coordinate offset function of FANUC system and the modified Temperature adjustment function of SIEMENS system,as well as the chatter suppression method based on the spindle speed adjustment function were studied.Finally,In order to probe into the application effect of the machine tool performance control system,the experiments about Compensation of the distortion influenced by temperature and flutter matter are executed in this article.The experimental data show that the machine tool performance control system has achieved a good effect on the thermal error compensation and chatter control of the machine tool.
