Nowadays,the continuous reduction of non-renewable resources and the wide application of polymer materials have made the environmental pollution problem more and more serious.The degradable polyester material has attracted extensive attention.Polybutylene succinate(PBS)has excellent biodegradability and comprehensive performance,but the problems of higher cost and slow hydrolysis rate are difficult to meet the further expansion and application of people's life and production.To solve these problems,blending PBS with a filler that promotes hydrolysis is a good way.In this paper,PBS/CaO and PBS/PAAS composites with different contents of calcium oxide(CaO)and polyacrylic acid sodium(PAAS)are prepared by melt blending method.First,the mechanical properties,microstructure,crystallization properties of fillers on PBS are studied.And then explore the effects of fillers on water absorption,degradation,structure,crystallization,etc.of PBS during hydrolysis at 90 ? for 24 hours.The following conclusions are obtained:The performance tests of the PBS/CaO composites material find that CaO reduces the composites' tensile strength,yield strength,elongation at break,and increases the elastic modulus.CaO has a certain effect on PBS nucleation and promotes crystallization.When the content reaches 30%,the crystallization of PBS is inhibited,but the crystal form of PBS is not be changed.After the composites are hydrolyzed,its water absorption performance(before water absorption equilibrium),degree of hydrolysis degradation are positively correlated with CaO content and hydrolysis time.The maximum water absorption rate of PBS/CaO-30 hydrolyzed for 24 hours is 76.27%,and the weight loss rate is 79.84%.By observing the hydrolysis process of the samples,it is find that the samples are transformed from surface corrosion to bulk corrosion,and the improvement of the hydrolysis degradation performance originated from the hydrolysis of the ester group in an alkaline environment.DSC curve results show that hydrolysis is not conducive to the crystallization of pure PBS,but it is conducive to the crystallization of PBS in the composites with a certain content(10%-20%)of CaO.The WAXD test shows that the hydrolysis will not change the crystal form of PBS,and the hydrolysis of the amorphous area of PBS takes precedence over the crystal area.A study on the properties of PBS/PAAS composites find that the effect of PAAS on the mechanical properties of composites is consistent with the trend of CaO.A certain amount of PAAS also has a heterogeneous nucleation effect on PBS.When the content reaches a certain level,the subsequent growth of the crystal is restricted.After the composites materials are hydrolyzed,the water absorption and weight loss rate also change significantly.In PBS/PAAS-100,the water absorption rate is up to 110.17%,and the hydrolytic weight loss rate is 44.61%.The degree of corrosion of samples after hydrolysis is related to PAAS content and hydrolysis time.DSC curve shows that hydrolysis can promote the crystallization of PBS in PBS/PAAS composites,but has little effect on the crystallization rate.The WAXD graph shows that the results are consistent with the PBS / CaO composites.As a whole,it is feasible to prepare PBS/CaO/PAAS ternary composites system by using CaO as basic catalyst and PAAS as water conducting agent,so as to realize the rapid and controllable degradation of PBS.
