High-silica glass fiber is very important in the fields of national defense and aviation.Among them,the binary high-silica glass fiber is highly valued by the glass fiber industry of various countries due to its advantages of high performance,low cost and low pollution.However,due to the poor weather resistance and poor textile processability of the binary high-silica glass fiber,large-scale production and application have not been realized in China.Its main technology has been monopolized by other countries,especially the sizing agent technology,which greatly restricted the development of binary high-silica fiberglass in China.Therefore,researching independent sizing agent technology is particularly important for the production of binary high-silica glass fiber.In order to solve the problem of poor weather resistance and poor textile technology of binary high-silica glass fiber,an environmentally friendly sizing agent has been developed to protect the strands of binary high-silica glass fiber.The details are as follows:(1)The main reason for the poor stability of the binary high-silica glass fiber is the erosion of the fiber structure by atmospheric moisture.Based on this,it is determined that the environmentally friendly sizing agent is a hydrophobic system.The vegetable oil is selected as the raw material,and the vegetable oil methyl ester is prepared by the alkali-catalyzed transesterification method,which is used as the medium component of the environmentally friendly sizing agent.Through transesterification modification,the viscosity of vegetable oil methyl ester(3.6m P·s)is significantly lower than that of vegetable oil(8.5m Pa·s),and the viscosity of vegetable oil methyl ester and industrial sizing agent are basically the same.Vegetable oil methyl ester has good thermal stability,better viscosity stability and lower crystallization temperature,and is suitable as a medium for environmentally friendly sizing agents.(2)The influence of the preparation process conditions of vegetable oil methyl ester on viscosity was studied by using the controlled single variable method,and the preparation process of vegetable oil methyl ester was determined: the molar ratio of alcohol to oil is 6:1,the amount of catalyst is 0.6%,and the reaction temperature is 65?,the reaction time is60 min.The response surface method was used to fit the model of each process condition and the viscosity of vegetable oil methyl ester,and it was concluded that the influence of each process condition on the viscosity was as follows: alcohol-to-oil molar ratio,catalyst dosage,reaction temperature and reaction time.(3)Use antioxidant tert-butyl hydroquinone to enhance the antioxidant performance of vegetable oil methyl ester.When the amount is 0.4%,the antioxidant effect can be satisfied.Through single factor analysis,it is concluded that the factors that affect the antioxidant performance of vegetable oil methyl esters are: oxygen,light,temperature and humidity,so the environmentally friendly sizing agent should be sealed and placed in a cool place when storing.(4)Using vegetable oil methyl esters,antioxidants,and film-forming agents as components,an environmentally friendly sizing agent is prepared and used in the drawing of binary high-silica glass fiber strands.The environmentally-friendly sizing agent is uniformly and effectively coated on the surface of the fiber,forming a hydrophobic protective layer on the surface of the raw silk,isolating the contact between environmental moisture and the fiber,and solving the phenomenon of crystallization on the fiber surface.The fiber precursor has good stability,the breaking strength loss rate of the original yarn within 45 days is less than15%,and it has good bundling,abrasion resistance and stiffness,which meets the production requirements of the enterprise.(5)Using hydrochloric acid to leaching the binary high-silica glass fiber produced by the subject-developed sizing agent,the silicon oxide content after acid leaching is as high as96%,which meets the industry standard requirements.Reflected from various performance test indicators and characterizations,the environmentally friendly sizing agent developed by the subject can solve the problem of poor weather resistance of binary high-silica glass fibers.The raw yarn has textile process performance within the specified time.It is of great significance to the development of binary high silica glass fiber products.
