The Gas-Liquid Cylindrical Cyclone(GLCC)plays an important role in various gas-liquid separation occasions,especially in deep-sea oil-gas separation occasions.At present,the existing structure improvement research involves a dual inlet structure GLCC,but the research is rare and not in-depth,and the dual inlet structure needs more detailed research.This paper focus on three dual-inlet GLCCs and one single-inlet GLCC and uses numerical simulation method.The simulation results of two dual-inlet GLCCs are compared with that of single-inlet GLCC.Then the dual-inlet GLCC structure with better separation effect is obtained,and the flow characteristics are discussed to explain that.According to the analysis results,another improved structure of dual-inlet GLCC is proposed,and a comparative analysis of this structure is carried out.The main results are as follows:(1)According to the comparison of efficiency and pressure distribution of GLCC,it is concluded that the separation effect of 1# dual-inlet GLCC is not as good as that of single-inlet GLCC,meanwhile the separation effect of 2# dual-inlet GLCC is better than single-inlet GLCC.Through the analysis of the flow characteristics,it is found that the tangential velocity of 2# dual-inlet GLCC in the higher axial position is larger,the axial velocity near the side wall is smaller,and the extension height and thickness of the liquid film are smaller,which indicate that the swirling strength in the cylinder of 2#structure is larger,and the gas-liquid phase is easier to be separated.At the same time,the liquid film is not easy to be carried out of the gas-phase outlet,so separation effect of 2# dual-inlet GLCC is better.(2)It can be concluded that the separation efficiency of GLCC can be improved by enhancing the swirling effect of separation space,reducing the drag effect of gas on liquid upward and restraining the upward movement of liquid membrane.In order to further inhibit the upward flow of the swirling liquid film,another improved structure is proposed —3# dual-inlet GLCC,which can greatly improve the liquid phase separation efficiency as 2# dual-inlet GLCC,and the swirl pressure drop is lower than 2# dual-inlet GLCC.At the same time,the flow characteristics of the structure are analyzed.(3)2# dual-inlet GLCC is selected to simulate the effect of liquid phase on gas-liquid flow and separation performance.It is demonstrated that the dual inlet GLCC is also suitable for liquid with high viscosity.
