Research On The Paraffin Formation And Magnetic Anti-wax Of Shixi-Karamay Crude Oil

When the Shixi-Karamay pipeline is heated and transported in winter,the pipe length is 5 days and the pigging cycle is 2-3 days.Not only is it not economically cost-effective,but it is always faced with the risk of pipeline blockage due to the simultaneous operation of two pigs in the pipeline.A technique to reduce the amount of wax in pipes is urgently needed.This paper summarizes the research status of magnetic treatment of waxy crude oil and designs a magnetic treatment simulation experiment based on the previous conclusions and achievements.By conducting magnetic treatment experiments on ShixiKaramay pipeline oil samples with different wax content,it was investigated whether magnetic treatment can reduce the freezing point of the oil sample,the rate of wax deposition on the pipe wall and the viscosity of the oil samples.Combined with EVA nano-point depressant,it was investigated whether the magnetic treatment can further reduce the freezing point,the waxing rate and viscosity of the pipe wall under the condition of adding depressant.The experimental results show that magnetic treatment cannot change the freezing point of the oil sample,but it can reduce the wax deposition rate and viscosity of the oil sample.For the Shixi-Karamay pipeline oil sample with no change in wax content,the optimal magnetic treatment temperature is 3? lower than the wax precipitation point of the oil sample,for other oil samples with different wax content,the optimal magnetic treatment temperature is different.The magnetic treatment after adding the pour point depressant cannot further change the freezing point and viscosity of the oil sample,but for the oil sample with the addition of the pour point depressant which can greatly reduce its freezing point,the magnetic treatment can greatly change the waxing rate of the oil sample.The law of cumulative wax precipitation of oil samples is similar to the law of wax deposition rate of oil samples.The changes in the size and number of wax crystals observed under the microscope are in accordance with the theory that the magnetic field aligns the molecules.
