Cotton fabric is widely used in clothing,home and other fields owing to its good hand-feeling and moisture absorption.Viscose fabric has advantages of wicking moisture for enhanced comfort,easy-dyeing and good spinnability.The cotton-viscose blended fabric has the double advantages of cotton fabric and viscose fabric.Due to the flammability and hygroscopicity of cellulose fiber,the fabric is prone to fire and bacteria in the actual use.The research on flame retardant and antimicrobial of fabric is particularly important.In this paper,a comb-like silicon-phosphorus-nitrogen synergistic flame-retardant and antimicrobial composite functional agent was successfully synthesized,which could be grafted onto cellulose fabric by crosslinking agent.The research contents are as follows:(1)A kind of silicon-phosphorus-nitrogen flame retardant and antibacterial agent was synthesized successfully with divinyl three amino propyl methyl dimethoxy silane,dimethyl phosphite and paraformaldehyde.The structure of agent was charactered by Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR),1H NMR and 31P NMR.Thermal stability of the agent was test by thermogravimetric analysis(TG).(2)The synthetic flame retardant and antibacterial agent was treated on cotton fabric by rolling-drying-baking process.The best process was obtained by single factor experiment.The flammability,thermal stability and combustion behavior of treated cotton fabrics were analyzed by limiting oxygen index(LOI),vertical flame test,scanning electron microscopy(SEM),energy chromatographic X-ray diffraction(EDX),thermogravimetric analysis(TG)and cone calorimetry.SEM was used to analyze the morphology of char residue before and after treated cotton fabric.EDX was used to analyze the element content of treated cotton fabric before and after burning.The antibacterial properties and tensile strength of treated fabric were also analyzed.The final conclusions are as follows:finishing agent:300 g/L,PBTCA:100 g/L,soaking temperature:30°C,soaking time:30 min,two dipping and two rolling(residual ratio of 80%),pre-drying at 70°C for 5min,baking at 130°C for 120 s is the best finishing process.The LOI of treated cotton fabric can reach 28.2%,and there is no after-glowing and after-flame phenomenon.The weight loss temperature of treated cotton fabric in air and nitrogen atmosphere is earlier than that of pure cotton fabric,and the char residual rate is 12.8%and 42.7%,respectively.The ignition time is longer than that of cotton fabric,the peak heat release rate and effective heat combustion are also significantly lower than that of cotton fabric according to cone calorimeter test.The antibacterial rate of treated cotton fabric of E.coli and S.aureus was more than95%.The warp and weft strength of treated cotton fabric decreased by 2.8%and 18.7%,respectively.(3)The flame retardant and antibacterial agent was applied to cotton-viscous blended fabric through rolling-drying-baking process,and the best finishing process was obtained through single factor experiment.The conclusions are as follows:finishing agent:500 g/L,PBTCA:150 g/L,soaking temperature:50°C,soaking time:40 min,two dipping and two rolling(rolling residual rate of 80%),pre-drying at 70°C for 5 min and 130°C baking 150 s.The flame retardancy,thermal stability and combustion behavior of treated fabric were analyzed by LOI,vertical flame test,TG and cone calorimeter test.In other words,the LOI of the treated cotton-viscose blended fabric can reach 30.2%,and the after-glowing time and after-flame time are both 0 s.The stability of treated fabric is superior to the cotton-viscose blended fabric under nitrogen and air atmosphere,and the char residual rates are 40.2%and 12.2%,severally,which are clearly higher than that of the untreated fabric.According to cone calorimeter test,the ignition time of the treated fabric is longer than that of the cotton-viscose blended fabric,and the peak heat release rate and effective heat combustion are lower than that of the cotton-viscose blended fabric.The antibacterial rate of cotton-viscose blended fabric to E.coli and S.aureus was more than 95%.Treated cotton-viscose fabrics retain unaltered tensile strength with cotton-viscose fabrics via the optimized process.
