Compound soap-based grease is an emerging research direction in recent years,which will not only retain the characteristics of a single grease,but also significantly improve the performance of the grease.In this paper,combined with practical applications,the effects of reaction equipment and base oil on the macroscopic properties of titanium-based greases are studied.The performances of lithium-based greases and titanium-based greases are compared.A composite lithium-titanium-based grease is prepared and combined Compare the performance of base grease and titanium base grease,explore the causes,and analyze the failure cases to provide a basis for determining the process flow.In the study of titanium-based grease synthesis technology,the first-stage saponification process with more mature and higher success rate was selected,and three different materials of reaction equipment were used to prepare titanium-based grease.Larger influence;and two base oils are selected to prepare titanium-based grease.Different base oil parameters will lead to different maximum refining temperature of titanium-based grease,and also affect the dropping point,cone penetration and friction performance.During the process,it was found that the titanium-based grease had problems of surface hardening and oil separation.A three-stage saponification process was used to prepare lithium-based greases.Comparing the soap fiber structure and macroscopic properties of lithium-based greases and titanium-based greases,lithium-based greases have greater consistency,better stability,and higher titanium-based grease dropping points 3.The friction performance is better.Both have advantages and disadvantages.They verify the feasibility of preparing composite lithium-titanium-based grease,and discuss the reaction mechanism of lithium-based grease and titanium-based grease.Two physical methods were used—grinding mixing and melt mixing to prepare composite lithium-titanium based greases in different proportions.The performance of most composite lithium-titanium based greases is superior to single lithium-based greases and titanium-based greases.In the grease prepared by grinding and mixing,the overall performance is best when the lithium-based grease: titanium-based grease is 1: 1,and the comprehensive performance is obtained when the lithium-based grease: titanium-based grease is 1: 3 in the melt-mixed grease.At the same time,it was verified that mixing titanium-based grease with lithium-based grease helps to improve the surface hardening and oil-separation problems of titanium-based grease,and the scheme of preparing lithium-titanium composite grease with pre-made soap method is conceived.The research provides ideas and solutions.
