The rapid development of vehicles has promoted the diversified research of friction materials.As the performance of friction materials has been improved,higher requirements have been put forward for the detection and test methods.The detection test has gradually changed from a constant-speed friction and wear test to a friction performance drag test and a small sample bench test,which makes the equipment for preparing test specimens unable to meet the demand.The traditional sample preparation machine adopts an open design and uses the rear dust hood to absorb and remove dust particles,which has poor environmental protection performance.In addition,the cutter is directly connected to the motor and there is no supporting fixture,which leads to the bending of the spindle on the cutting side.The preparation of samples is difficult,the qualification rate is low,the noise is large,and the safety is low.At the same time,because the design purpose is mainly used for the preparation of samples for constant-speed friction and wear tests,the equipment has only a thickness scale and few functions.In order to improve the operational safety,environmental protection and multiple functions of the prototype machine,it is necessary to design a sample preparation machine structure suitable for the preparation of a variety of samples and to remove dust.In this thesis,based on the advantages and disadvantages of the traditional friction material sample preparation machine,a new type of friction material sample preparation machine is developed,which has a variety of functions and environmental protection performance.CFD simulation method be used to study its dust removal conditions and dust removal performance.(1)By analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of the traditional sample preparation machine,and based on the sample preparation process,the basic mechanism of the sample preparation machine that uses cutting and grinding fixtures to complete the sample preparation is designed.The new sample preparation machine adopts closed processing,two suction ports for dust removal,and can effectively prepare 3 kinds of test samples,which reduces the difficulty of operation and protects the operator and the surrounding environment.(2)This thesis extracts and simplifies the flow field space inside the equipment,and analyzes the influence of the type of air inlet and the air velocity of the flow field on the flow field flow line and pressure distribution inside the equipment through the standard k-e model.The results show that the rectangular flow field entrance scheme with an aspect ratio of 1.8:1 has the best internal streamline.The inlet wind speed of the flow field that is beneficial to dust removal should be greater than 0.8836m/s.(3)Based on the fluid-solid coupling simulation,the dust removal performance simulation experiment was carried out,and the relationship between the diameter of the dust particles and the outlet entrainment speed was analyzed.The results show that the particle diameter effectively eliminated during cutting has a nonlinear relationship with the entrainment speed,and the particle diameter effectively eliminated during grinding has a linear relationship with the entrainment speed.(4)Based on the fluid-solid coupling simulation,the dust removal effect of the new prototype preparation machine was compared with the traditional prototype preparation machine,which proved that the new prototype preparation machine has better dust removal performance and meets the requirements of environmental protection.
