Intelligent textiles including optical fiber technology is a hot research topic in the textile industry,and the combination of optical fiber and textiles has attracted wide attention.Optical fiber is light in weight,small in size,durable and easy to connect with power supply.It can be used in decoration,medical textiles,lighting,sensors and safety warnings.By embedding optical fibers into textiles and combining them with electronic components,they can be used in wearable clothing.But not like ordinary fiber flexible polymer optical fiber,knitting structure tightly curved coil would damage the light in the optical fiber transmission and may result in polymer optical fiber fracture,but the fabric has good comfort,flexibility,resilience,and the characteristic of the drape,to integrate the polymer optical fiber into the knitting structure has good application prospect.Based on the research on the braiding performance of polymer optical fiber,this topic discusses the weaving process of polymer optical fiber,and uses chemical reagent corrosion method to prepare side luminous fiber and luminous fabric,in order to provide reference for the application of polymer optical fiber luminous knitted fabric in outdoor clothing.The specific research content is as follows:Firstly,the mechanical properties of the polymer optical fiber are explored,and its influence on the braiding performance of the polymer optical fiber is discussed,and the polymer optical fiber suitable for braiding on the existing knitting machine is selected.Secondly,polymer optical fiber is woven on hand-swung flat knitting machine,computer-swung flat knitting machine and double-sided small circular knitting machine respectively.The effects of aided braided yarn fineness,feed tension,bending depth,machine speed and tension on the braiding properties of polymer optical fiber were compared,and the proper structure was selected for braiding.The braiding parameters and weaving process of polymer optical fiber were optimized by parameter adjustment,and the basic properties were evaluated.Thirdly,the chemical reagent is used to treat the polymer optical fiber and fabric,and the chemical reagent reacts with the cortex tissue of the polymer optical fiber to destroy the cortex tissue,so as to achieve the side luminous effect.The effects of different chemical reagents on the properties of polymer optical fiber and its fabric were compared,and the optimal treatment conditions for preparing side luminescent fiber and side luminescent fiber were obtained by analyzing the surface morphology of polymer optical fiber,mechanical properties and luminescent properties of polymer optical fiber and its fabric.Finally,the polymer optical fiber is integrated into a suitable textile structure to be applied to outdoor clothing,and the connection and placement of the circuit are designed to seamlessly connect the electronics and textiles to achieve the application of polymer optical fiber luminous fabric in outdoor clothing.
