With the progress of society and the development of science and technology,as a traditional industry,mechanical transmission has raised new heights in the quality requirements of its parts.Although the material properties of raw materials and the precision of parts in our country have been greatly improved,it is undeniable that the early failure of the core key components of equipment used in various industries still occurs from time to time.Gearbox is an important part of mechanical transmission equipment,it mainly includes: gears,shafts,housings,bearings and other special accessories.For some more complex and special gearboxes,research and discussion on them have not been stagnant at home and abroad.Specially,the failures of shafts and bearings in these gearboxes will often cause the entire production line to stop production,and which causes the economic loss requirements of the gearboxes.The "high,precise and special" have become the development direction of the gearbox industry in the world today,which also brings a series of challenges to the design and manufacturing technology of gearboxes.In order to avoid the occurrence of such problems,combined with the actual production needs of a certain enterprise,this thesis uses the design of a 17-roll gearbox as a basis,carries on the structural design to it,and uses ROMAX finite element analysis software to carry out the whole gearbox analyze and find out the weak points where the mechanical properties of the overall structure cannot meet higher requirements,and optimize and improve the main components such as gear shafts and bearings,which will have certain significance in actual work.The main research contents include as the following:(1)Starting from the working principle of the straightening equipment and the analysis of each main component,the necessity of research on the design quality of the multi-roll gearbox of the key equipment in the straightening equipment is analyzed,and the development status of the straightening equipment at home and abroad is introduced,as well as the current situation.(2)The complexity of the 17-roller gearbox structure and its working characteristics are Introduced.The gear shaft and bearing were calculated and analyzed specifically under the working condition of the gearbox.Besides,the performance parameters of the gearbox were shunted.With the help of ROMAX software to analyze the force state of the entire shafting system,the guiding opinions are summarized,the design specifications of the enterprise are improved.(3)The model of the specific shaft system is established using Romax software.Because gear contact simulation is complex,the conceptual gear simulation was used in the model establishment,static analysis of the gearbox shaft system,the life of bearings and the strength of shafts all are checked,and the weakest points of these parts were obtained and improved.(4)The bearings and gear shafts were optimized and analyzed by ROMAX software,and then optimized and improved based on the actual situation on the site.(5)According to the research results of this subject and combined with the actual needs of the enterprise,the prototype of the 17-roll gearbox was produced and debugged,and the final use effect was verified.
