In recent years, our country steel output continues to grow, along with the unceasing enhancement of users to the strip quality requirement, the key point of strip development is shifting from pursuit of production to pursuit of quality. Take measures to improve the strip quality has become the matter which the producer urgently need to solve. Straightening machine is the main equipment that improves the strip quality. Domestic manufacturers need to attach new technical roller straightening machine, in particular for roller straightener used in high-precision strip finishing line.This topic takes china heavy machinery research institute project as a backing, has conducted the research to key technologies of strip roller straightener; found the rule of strip straightening deformation, designed and calculated roll parameters and established the straightening model through theoretical analysis. Using explicit dynamic finite element algorithm and taking finite element software ANSYS/LS-DYNA as a tool simulated and analyzed the strip roll straightening process.According to the straightening theory and the roller straightening principle, this paper carried on processing parameter analysis by using roller straightener to straightening strip, the basic parameters of roller straightener were designed and calculated, and straightening force was worked out, making use of finite element software simulated the straightening process of strip under these roller parameters. Simulation results indicated that the setting of roller parameters was basic reasonable, could realize the straightening of strip. Analysis of elastic-plastic deformation bending theory and layout of straightening rollers, which determined the straightening plan, combing with the dynamic deformation characteristic of strip in the process of straightening , established straightening analytical model and deduced the formula of intermesh. Appropriate material model was chosen by analytical model and basic parameter which was provided, or geometry dimension and parameter of material mechanical property. Analyzed the finite element theory in the process of strip roller straightening, and introduced simply the finite element software in this article, using it established three-dimensional finite element model, analyzed the straightening process under different intermesh, and defined reasonable intermesh, finally, analyzed the influence of intermesh to stress and strain.This paper combined analysis calculation with computer simulation to study the process of strip roller straightening, Roll parameters were determined by making deep research for processing parameter of strip in roller straightening process, simulating the straightening process of strip obtained reasonable straightening parameters, whose result could provide the theory basis and science instruction for the setting and optimization of straightening processing parameter and design of straightening machine in actual production, therefore might shorten the development cycle of straightening machine product, and reduce the cost of production ,and adapt to ever-changing market needs, and promote the development of our country strip straightening technology. At the same time , the research method in this article supplied the new research tool for the further development of straightening theory.
