Benzalkonium chloride(BAC)is a quaternary ammonium salt cationic surfactant.It has the ability to kill bacteria and algae and belongs to active chemicals.Its long-term use will cause certain harm to human body.Therefore,all walks of life at home and abroad have limited benzalkonium chloride.GB 18401-2010 national basic safety technical code for textile products does not specify the requirements for the use of benzalkonium chloride antibacterial agent in textiles.At present,there is no detection method and limit standard for benzalkonium chloride in textiles and dyeing and finishing auxiliaries.Therefore,a rapid and accurate method for the determination of three homologues of benzalkonium chloride in textiles and dyeing and finishing auxiliaries was established in this paper.Taking benzalkonium chloride in textiles and dyeing and finishing auxiliaries as the research object,this paper focuses on the detection methods of benzalkonium chloride in textiles by high performance liquid chromatography diode array detector(HPLC-DAD)and high performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry(HPLC-MS/MS),as well as the detection methods of benzalkonium chloride in dyeing and finishing auxiliaries by HPLC-DAD.The optimum ultrasonic extraction conditions of benzalkonium chloride in textiles and dyeing and finishing auxiliaries were determined by single factor variable experiment and orthogonal experiment.The results show that the best extraction solvent for benzalkonium chloride in textiles is acetonitrile.The extraction time is 30 min,the extraction temperature is60 ?,and the amount of extraction reagent is 20 m L.The best extraction solvent of benzalkonium chloride in dyeing and finishing auxiliaries is methanol,the extraction time is 30 min,the extraction temperature is 60 ?,and the amount of extraction reagent is 10 m L.According to the detection and analysis principles of HPLC-DAD and HPLC-MS/MS,three homologues of benzalkonium chloride were analyzed and studied,and the instrument conditions were optimized to realize the separation,qualitative and quantitative detection of substances.The results showed that the recovery of benzalkonium chloride in textiles by HPLCDAD was 87.12%?92.82%,the relative standard deviation(RSD)was 1.10%?6.40%,the detection limit(LOD)of the method was 20 mg/kg?25 mg/kg,and the quantitative limit(LOQ)of the method was 66 mg/kg?83 mg/kg.When determining benzalkonium chloride in dyeing and finishing auxiliaries,the recoveries of the method were 83.88%?104.52%,the relative standard deviations(RSD)were less than 5.63%,the detection limits(LOD)of the method were10 mg/kg?15 mg/kg,and the quantitative limits(LOQ)were 30 mg/kg?40 mg/kg.When HPLC-MS/MS was used to measure the content of benzalkonium chloride in textiles,the recoveries were 83.04%?98.91%,the relative standard deviations(RSD)were less than 4.61%,the detection limit(LOD)and the limit of quantitation(LOQ)were 0.10 mg/kg and 0.30 mg/kg respectively.The detection method in this paper has the advantages of good accuracy and repeatability,high sensitivity,simple operation,and can meet the needs of actual detection.
