| Low-carbon environmental protection and green development are important competitiveness of enterprises in the future.Under the call of national green development,more and more enterprises have incorporated environmental management into their corporate strategies,implemented environmental management,and disclosed environmental information.Most of the previous studies have discussed the consequences of corporate environmental management practices at the organizational level,but less often at the employee level about the impact of corporate environmental management practices on employee environmental behaviors.However,as the insiders of an enterprise,employees’ behaviors must be affected by corporate behaviors,and the ultimate effect of environmental management practices adopted by enterprises is closely related to their pro-environmental behavior.Therefore,it is necessary to explore the impact mechanism of corporate environmental management practices on employees’ pro-environmental behavior.This study constructs a model to explore the influence mechanism between corporate environmental management practices on employees ’pro-environmental behaviors,the mediated role of ecological affect and affective commitment,as well as moderated role of motivational attribution.Based on 420 samples from local enterprises,this study used Structural Equation Model,Multilayer linear Regression for empirical test.The results show that:(1)Corporate environmental management practices are positively affecting employees’ pro-environmental behaviors.(2)Ecological affect and affective commitment independently and jointly mediate the effect of corporate environmental management practices on employee proenvironmental behavior.(3)Altruistic motivation attribution moderates the positive effect of corporate environmental management practices on ecological affect and affective commitment,while self motivation attribution fails in its moderate role on the effect of corporate environmental management practices on ecological affect and affective commitment.This study reveals the mediating mechanism of the impact of corporate environmental management practices on the employee pro-environmental behavior from an emotional perspective,and improves the research on the mechanism of the role of corporate environmental management practices on the employee proenvironmental behavior.The findings suggest that managers should pay more attention to the important role of emotional pathways in encouraging employees ’pro-environmental behaviors,and improve the effectiveness of corporate environmental management practices. |
