Xi Jinping’s “Two Mountains Theory” And Practical Exploration

The Communist Party of China(CPC)has always attached great importance to ecological construction,especially since the 18th National Congress of the CPC,The CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the Core has attached great importance to the construction of socialist ecological civilization.The report of the 18th CPC National Congress has systematically expounded the construction of ecological civilization from the perspective of the overall layout of the “Five in One”.The 3rd Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee has further elaborated the reform of the ecological civilization system according to the “Five in One” framework.The 4th Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee has stressed the promotion of ecological civilization construction according to law.The 5th Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee has further proposed five principles of development.The 19th CPC National Congress report has also clearly pointed out that “the construction of ecological civilization is a millennium plan for the sustainable development of the Chinese nation.We must establish and practice the concept that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets,adhere to the basic national policy of saving resources and protecting the environment,and treat the ecological environment as if it were life.” The report profoundly answered a series of important theoretical and practical problems on the construction of ecological civilization under the new situation,and provided strong theoretical support and practical guidance for creating a new situation of China’s green development.The important assertions,including “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets” and “ice and snow are also invaluable assets”,are advanced concept and method to deal with China’s ecological environment problems put forward by the Chinese communists represented by General Secretary Xi Jinping after long-term exploration and practice.it is an important part of the theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics that has been enriched and developed.It involves the general themes of the times such as economic transformation and upgrading,green development,coordinated development,innovative development,shared development,ecological protection,ecological governance,and construction of ecological system.It highlights the profound problem orientation and has important theoretical and practical significance for promoting the construction of China’s ecological civilization and strengthening the protection.Based on the analysis of the connotation of the “Two Mountains Theory,” the paper analyzes the clear goal of ecological happiness and clear awareness of ecological problems in the “Two
