| Sunflower-shaped ceramics first appeared in the Tang Dynasty and became popular in the Song Dynasty.Sunflower-shaped ceramics were made with sunflower as the design element.There are three types of utensils,including sunflower mouth,sunflower petal and sunflower,which got their name because their mouth or overall shape resembles a blooming sunflower.Due to the continuous development of Buddhism culture,it has promoted the innovation of related flower theme art creation,which directly or indirectly endowing the image of the holy thing of sunflower.Due to the continuous improvement of living standards in the Song Dynasty,there were abundant artistic expression forms related to flowers,and sunflower elements gradually became an important subject matter in the design of ceramic ware.This paper firstly takes the modeling of sunflower-shaped gold and silver ware in the Tang Dynasty as the starting point,sorts out the rich modeling types of sunflower-shaped ceramics in the Song Dynasty based on the modeling of sunflower-shaped gold and silver ware in the Tang Dynasty,and analyzes the modeling evolution of sunflower-shaped ceramics with the continuous development of the Song Dynasty,showing the change of the increase of the bottom foot and the gradual structure of the edging and segmented petals.Secondly,the aesthetic characteristics of sunflower-shaped ceramics are explored.The natural and novel sunflower shape shows the formal beauty of the structure and proportion of utensils.The shallow open bowls,evenly divided dishes and matching and closed flower POTS and saucers reflect the functional beauty of appropriate use and conditions,and promote the improvement of the style of use of objects.At the same time,the decorative forms such as kiln change,opening piece,printing,carving and cutting also enrich the expressive force of the design of the implements.Then,starting with the harmony between sunflower-shaped ceramics and the culture of the Song Dynasty,this paper deeply explains the cultural development of the concept of elegance in the Song Dynasty,the metaphors of sunflower and the design representation of the integration of Neo-Confucianism,and analyzes the reasons why sunflower-shaped ceramics was prevalent in the Song Dynasty.Finally,it explores its rich and transcendent cultural connotation as a fresh and elegant design orientation of The Times,which contains the inheritance of the design idea of "making utensils still look like".The design changes based on the shape of round ware are extremely suitable and advantageous,leading the continuous innovation of the design of sunflower-shaped ceramics in the Yuan,Ming and Qing dynasties as well as modern and contemporary times. |
