Evaluation Of Ecosystem Service Value Of Urban Wetland

Natural ecological environment is the material basis for human survival and development,and wetland ecology is one of the three major ecosystems of the earth.Urban wetland is an ecological environment at the junction of natural ecology and human society,and belongs to one of the most efficient ways to use urban ecology,with a very high ecological service value.With the continuous expansion of cities,the over-exploitation and utilization of human beings has led to the serious destruction of wetland resources,resulting in a series of ecological and environmental problems and the urgent need to strengthen the protection of urban wetlands.Ecosystem service value assessment is the use of various assessment methods to evaluate the direct and indirect values contained within the ecosystem.By monetizing the implicit values within the ecosystem,it helps people fully understand the huge value contained in the ecological environment,raises people’s awareness of environmental protection,and also provides a theoretical basis for the government to formulate scientific utilization and development policies.Aixi Lake Wetland is a typical urban natural wetland park,which is in the heart of Nanchang city and is extremely representative among urban wetlands.This paper takes Aixi Lake Wetland Park as an example to evaluate its ecological service function.By collecting basic data through reference to existing literature,field survey and questionnaire,the ecosystem service value of Aixi Lake wetland is divided into direct use value,indirect use value and non-use value,and its ecological service function value mainly includes water supply value,material production value,runoff regulation value,carbon sequestration and oxygen release value,scientific and cultural value,biological and habitat value and non-use value,using market value method,shadow engineering method,carbon tax method and afforestation cost method,unit area factor substitution method,development coefficient method and condition value method to assess the value amount of annual ecosystem service function of Aixi Lake Wetland Park,and put forward policy recommendations to protect Aixi Lake Wetland Park and other urban wetlands in Nanchang City,the main conclusions are as follows.（1）The total value of annual ecosystem function services of Lake Aixi Wetland Park is 178,403,400.a^-1.Among them,the non-use value is 11,809,400.a^-1,accounting for 66.18%of the total value,the indirect use value is 47,829,000.a^-1,accounting for26.82%,and the direct use value is the least,accounting for only 7.01%.（2）The value of ecosystem function services in Aixi Lake Wetland Park is ranked as follows:existence value>selection value>heritage value>biological habitat function value>water purification function value>material production function value>runoff regulation function value>carbon sequestration and oxygen release function value>science and research culture value>water supply function value.（3）In the survey of residents’willingness to pay for the non-use value of Aixi Lake Wetland Park and the influencing factors by the conditional value method,the percentage of respondents willing to pay for the protection of Aixi Lake wetland each year was 79.0%,and the value of willingness to pay per capita among the number of respondents was 39.5 yuan a^-1;the respondents’education level,the distance of their residence from Aixi Lake,and the degree of knowledge about Aixi Lake Wetland Park affected the willingness to pay at 5%significant level influenced the respondents’willingness to pay.（4）Respondents’willingness to pay for Aixi Lake wetlands has significant group differences.Respondents’years of education,level of disposable income,and distance between their place of residence and Aixi Lake can significantly affect respondents’willingness to pay.Compared to other wetlands,respondents in Aixi Lake wetlands have a higher willingness to pay but a lower level of payment.The non-use value calculated by the questionnaire is a variable that will grow as willingness to pay increases and environmental awareness grows,and requires continuous research.It can be seen that the ecosystem service value of Aixi Lake Wetland Park should not be underestimated,especially the value of carbon sequestration and oxygen release function,the value of water purification function and the non-use value account for a significant proportion.By evaluating the ecosystem service function of Lake Aixi wetland and combining with the real conditions,we propose to strengthen the development of special bird-watching tourism,protect the biological habitat and improve the popularity of tourism;optimize the industrial layout,increase the environmental monitoring and strengthen the prevention of water pollution;continuously follow up the dynamic study of non-use value and improve the residents’willingness to pay and environmental protection.Ecosystem value assessment should be widely used in urban landscape construction,environmental policy performance assessment,etc.
