Research On Chinese Tableware Design Based On Simple Concept

In the context of China’s rapid development,with the convenience of life,material and spiritual prosperity,there are also some urgent problems such as consumption alienation,materialistic desire,loss of traditional culture,ecological environment deterioration and so on.People begin to reflect on whether the development thinking and mode of human development are sustainable.The concept of simplicity has been frequently mentioned.The concept of "simplicity" is an important part of Chinese culture.It has been clearly recorded in the literature of Taoism that people’s current life is.Food is the people’s life,diet is the material needs to support human survival,Chinese cutlery bearing practical and spiritual functions,this paper from the characteristics of simple concept research,"Chinese cutlery" as the design carrier to study the Chinese cutlery design under the simple concept.This thesis mainly used the literature analysis,comparative study,case analysis,inductive deductive method and historical method,such as research methods,research mainly from the following several parts: the first part is about the topic research background,research status were reviewed,determine the research methods,for the purpose and significance of the thesis.The second part is the related overview of the concept of simplicity.Through the analysis of the three aspects of thought,life and creation,it summarizes the characteristics of the current concept of simplicity,and makes a comparative study of its characteristics and modern design theory to verify its feasibility.The third part is the study of Chinese tableware design,including the related concept of Chinese tableware sorting,the internal elements of Chinese tableware and the influence of food culture on Chinese tableware design.The fourth part is to explore how the concept of simplicity is embodied in tableware design,analyze the significance of simplicity in tableware design,analyze the correlation between simplicity and tableware characteristics through domestic and foreign tableware design cases,and summarize the embodiment characteristics of simplicity in Chinese tableware design.The fifth part is combined with the research in the previous chapter to put forward the principles of Chinese tableware design based on plain concept,namely,constancy,use to the best of things,moderate balance and emotional connection,and put forward the design strategy based on plain concept from the two perspectives of external expression and connotation construction of Chinese tableware.The sixth part is design practice,using design practice to apply the theory and method,and testing the feasibility of the principle and method.In the last part,the author summarizes the previous theoretical research,design practice and the limitations of the whole paper,and puts forward the prospect.
