| Ulaanbaatar city is one of the most polluted cities in the world.Especially air pollution of this city is becoming more dangerous for citizen’s health.In this study,the main PM2.5pollutant and it is dispersion were determined by 8 Continuous Air Monitoring(CAM)stations measurements.And studied diseases attributable to air pollution in Ulaanbaatar city.In chapter I,Ulaanbaatar city air pollution sources are mentioned,especially particulate matter pollutant sources.In scope of this chapter,previous study results of Ulaanbaatar city air pollution have cited.According to previous study result,main PM2.5pollutant is any type of stove in Ger area,and followed by vehicle exhaust,power plants stacks,fugitive dust are being ranked.In chapter II,Ulaanbaatar city PM2.5dispersion have been mapped.There are 8CAM stations in Ulaanbaatar city which are measuring PM2.5and one-year data of these stations were collected.Then,in order to map PM2.5dispersion,mathematical interpolation method Inverse Distance Weighted(IDW)had been used and PM2.5 level was classified by Environmental Protection Agency(EPA)standard levels related to Air Quality Index(AQI).In chapter III,at finally,diseases attributable to air pollution in Ulaanbaatar were analyzed.During last decade,Ulaanbaatar city population density increased rapidly,especially citizens who uses stoves for home heating.Accompanied by this increase,diseases attributable to air pollution is increasing simultaneously.PM2.5 correlated with respiratory diseases positively.So,it is proving that air pollution especially PM2.5already become one of the main factors for respiratory diseases in last decade in Ulaanbaatar. |
