| Regional integration is not only the objective trend of internationalization and globalization, but also the endogenous need of high-quality development in China.Due to the influence of China’s administrative divisions, there is a serious market segmentation between regions, and the integration of urban agglomerations has gradually become an important regional space and an important organizational form of regional integration. In the process of regional integration, the ecological compensation mechanism and interest coordination mechanism among regions are gradually established and perfected, the administrative barriers are gradually weakened, and the factors flow freely, which makes the factors flow to the places with high profits under the regulation of market mechanism, and the allocation efficiency is strengthened, which leads to green technology innovation and promotes industrial transformation and upgrading. The final performance is the improvement of factor utilization efficiency,so as to reduce environmental pollution. Therefore, regional integration can promote the interactive development of urban agglomerations and promote regional green development and high-quality development.Based on the four dimensions of economic integration, social integration, spatial integration and institutional integration, this paper selects sub indicators to establish a comprehensive index system, and uses the entropy method to calculate the regional integration development index of cities in the Yangtze River Delta. The results show that the regional integration index of the Yangtze River Delta is on the rise as a whole, advancing in the fluctuation;there are large spatial differences inter provincial and uneven development in the province;the polarization of Shanghai is increasing, forming two radial axes of Shanghai Suzhou Nanjing Hefei and Shanghai Hangzhou, which generally presents a ">" type spatial pattern of regional integration with Shanghai as the core node, and the level of regional integration on both sides of the development axis shows a decreasing trend.Secondly, based on the analysis of the current situation of pollution emission in the Yangtze River Delta,it is found that the pollution emission intensity of the Yangtze River Delta has decreased significantly, and the spatial characteristics have changed from agglomeration to dispersion. The downward trend of pollution emission is gentle at first and then severe, which is related to the process of regional integration. The spatial autocorrelation test shows that there is a significant spatial correlation between urban regional integration development index and pollution emission intensity. Therefore, using the spatial econometric model, this paper empirically analyzes the impact of regional integration on pollution emissions. The direct effect, indirect effect and total effect all present the characteristics of inverted "U" curve, which indicates that in the process of regional integration, pollution emissions will be aggravated first and then reduced. When the development of regional integration crosses a certain inflection point, regional pollution emissions can be greatly suppressed, and urban green development can be realized green interactive development. The empirical results show that there is a significant difference in the impact of regional integration on pollution emissions between the central area and the non-central area. The total effect is negative in the central area and positive in the non-central area. Therefore, there is heterogeneity in the impact of regional integration on pollution emissions, which is manifested in the temporal and spatial differences.According to the empirical research results of this paper,we put forward policy suggestions to accelerate regional integration and release its emission reduction effect:first, rely on the development axis to drive the development of regional integration;second, accelerate regional integration and release the emission reduction effect as soon as possible;third, guide the coordinated development of cities and jointly reduce the ecological pressure;fourth, establish and improve the coordination mechanism,Joint prevention and control of green development. |
