Tianjin A chemical company is an old brand enterprise in China’s chlor-alkali industry,mainly engaged in chemical trade activities related to chlor-alkali chemical product production,sales,raw material import and processing.In 2008,when the world financial crisis broke out,China’s chlor-alkali industry suffered a lot of impact,which made many chlor-alkali chemical enterprises have difficulties in development.At the same time,the number of domestic chlor-alkali enterprises is increasing,and the market situation of chemical products overcapacity and oversupply appears,which makes the prices of caustic soda,PVC and other products fall or even hang upside down.However,due to the particularity of chlor-alkali industry,some enterprises,including Tianjin a Chemical Co.,Ltd.,have made losses in production,but they are not in a desperate situation.Therefore,thinking about the strategic transformation of enterprises and optimizing the product structure of enterprises have become a positive consideration for these enterprises.At the same time,with the increasing attention of the world and the country to the environment,if the chemical enterprises want not to be eliminated,they must think about their development strategy and optimize their production structure.Based on this background,this thesis or dissertation studies the product structure optimization strategy of Tianjin a chemical company.First of all,the industrial development trend,SWOT and Porter five forces of Tianjin a chemical company were analyzed,and the Boston matrix analysis of the current situation of the company’s product structure was carried out.It was found that the current product structure of Tianjin a chemical company was indeed unreasonable,such as the serious loss of PVC business,strong chlorine,silver chloride,ethylene oxide,styrene,ABS resin and other businesses Although it belongs to star business,its scale is small,and its profit mainly comes from caustic soda production.In order to solve this problem,this thesis or dissertation puts forward the strategy of product structure optimization and implementation guarantee.The main strategy includes optimizing the value chain of products of Tianjin a chemical company and adjusting the old products of the enterprise.At the same time,it increases the research and development of new products and improves the comprehensive competitiveness of the enterprise in the market.The research of this thesis or dissertation enriches the theory of product structure optimization of chemical enterprises,not only provides a reference scheme for the product optimization development of Tianjin a chemical company,but also has a certain guiding value for other similar enterprises.
