As the symbol element of ancient architecture and other elements,glaze component constitutes the ancient architectural culture of China.It’s colorful and excellent waterproof function,and realizes the good combination of art and function.The glazed tiles in ancient palaces have been damaged and lost their proper functions after long-term erosion of the natural environment.It is necessary to repair and replace the damaged glazed tiles.This paper makes a field investigation on the glazed tile factory,and uses series of scientific and technological means to make a comparative study on the newly fired glazed tiles and the ancient glazed tiles from palaces of Ming and Qing Dynasties.Modern glazed tile factory has introduced automatic machinery and equipment to improve work efficiency.At the same time,natural gas is used as fuel in body firing and glaze firing.It is found that the flexural strength of glazed tile body is negatively correlated with water absorption and Si/Al ratio,but the porosity of glazed tile has a greater impact on the mechanical properties of the body.The results show that the content of SiO2 and Al2O3 in the body of glazed tile sample is basically linearly negatively correlated,and the data points of the two kinds of tiles are basically in the same region.With the increase of Fe2O3 content,the a*value of body chromaticity measurement results increases gradually.When the content of Al2O3 in the body is in a low range,increasing the content of Al2O3 can improve the L value of the body chromaticity.When the content of Al2O3 is in a high range,the increase of the content of Al2O3 has little effect on the L value of the body chromaticity.The body particles of the new Fired Glazed tile are uniform and small.The content of SiO2 and PbO in the glaze is basically in a linear negative correlation,in the principal component analysis of glaze layer,the data points of two kinds of glazed tiles are basically located in the same area.After Fe2O3 plays the role of coloring,the increase of its content has little effect on the a*value and b*value of chromaticity measurement results.With the increase of CuO content,the a*value and b*value of the glaze chromaticity measurement results show a downward trend,the cracks on the glaze surface of newly fired glazed tile are relatively shallower and less.There is a big difference between the water absorption rate of the tire and the glaze.The water absorption rate of the body expands when it is frozen,but the water absorption rate of the glaze layer is close to 0.There is basically no change when it is frozen.The larger water absorption rate will make the body absorb more water and expand more after being frozen.After repeated freezethaw cycles,the body will crack and break,and the glaze will crack and stripping.Generally speaking,the new Fired Glazed tile can be used to replace the broken ancient glazed tile Glass tile requirements.This study provides a reference for the firing of glazed tile factory and the replacement of glazed tile in royal palace.
