The Impact Of Green Technology Innovation Capability On Firm Performance Under The Background Of Environmental Regulation

With the rapid development of economy,environmental problems are also concerned.The government is carrying out environmental regulation and management on enterprises in combination with environmental pollution problems.Under the background of environmental regulation,enterprises take some innovative measures to reduce environmental pollution.Due to the importance of technological innovation within enterprises,the rapid development of green technology innovation ability also has a certain promotion or inhibition effect on their enterprise performance.This paper selects all the panel data of 537 listed manufacturing companies in the seven years from 2010 to 2017 as the research basis,theoretically analyzes the impact of this background on enterprise performance under the system of government environmental regulation,and then brings different conditions into the research.Taking enterprises as micro factors,we can conduct in-depth research from two aspects: one is to explore green technology On the other hand,it discusses the impact of government environmental regulation intensity on enterprise performance.After reading and understanding the literature review at home and abroad,this paper makes a discussion on the extensibility of the relevant theoretical elaboration.In this paper,the terms of environmental regulation,green technology,green technology innovation ability and so on,which often appear in this paper,further describes the current situation of China’s environmental regulation,reviews the discussion and analysis of the existing literature on these keywords,and puts forward this paper after the literature review The research question of this paper is hypothesis.This paper takes the famous "Porter Hypothesis" as the main theoretical basis of this paper,and on the basis of this research conclusion,it innovates the theoretical framework among environmental regulation,green technology innovation ability and enterprise performance.Among them,the effect and efficiency of enterprise management activities are called enterprise performance,which is divided into short-term performance and long-term performance,and enterprise performance is the dependent variable.This paper uses the nested multiple regression model to form the internal logic of the relationship,discusses the impact of environmental regulation and green technology innovation capability on enterprise performance,and discusses whether the green technology innovation capability has a positive or negative impact on enterprise long-term performance and short-term performance under the influence of environmental regulation intermediary conditions.After the analysis of the model data,we can draw the following conclusions: the government’s policy regulation on environmental regulation has an inhibitory effect on the short-term performance of enterprises,but it has a promoting effect on the long-term performance of enterprises.The enterprises with strong green technology innovation ability are conducive to the growth of enterprise performance,and will accelerate the development of enterprises.From the perspective of enterprise short-term performance,the improvement of enterprise green technology innovation ability has a significant negative correlation with enterprise short-term performance under the pressure of government environmental regulation,which indicates that under the pressure of external environmental policy,the short-term performance of enterprises decreases due to the lag of green innovation;from the perspective of enterprise long-term performance,the enterprise green technology innovation ability has a significant negative correlation with enterprise short-term performance Under the influence of the pressure of the external government environment regulation,the improvement of the ability does not have adverse consequences on the long-term performance of enterprises,but still plays a promoting role.It is suggested that the relevant government departments should strengthen the implementation of the policy mechanism of green technology innovation transformation,and under the guidance of the government departments,build a good national information platform for the government,industrial research and transformation of scientific and technological achievements.Under the background of the command type environmental regulation with strong punishment,it focuses on the definite direction of the results of environmental governance.Because the government will put pressure on the innovation ability of enterprises through environmental regulation,the enterprises should carry out environmental regulation Green technology innovation has positive effect.
