Concept Design Practice Of Xiaomi Intelligent Kitchenware Based On Molecular Cooking

In recent years,with the rapid development of information technology and the social and economic level,the public has put forward higher requirements for home environment and life experience which extends the application of intelligent home products in life.As an indispensable part of smart home,intelligent kitchenware plays an increasingly important role.With increasing demand for intelligent kitchen equipment,many kitchen appliance enterprises begin to layout in intelligent kitchenware which makes the market competition extremely fierce.Enterprise will take an advantage in the market when it can lead in developing new intelligent technology,or new categories of intelligent kitchenware.Xiaomi,as a top Internet company in China,has long been involved in the field of intelligent kitchen utensils.It is also thinking about how to open up a new market of intelligent kitchenware out of the cruel competition for market initiative.Nowadays,the healthy and personalized diet is popular among people who pursue not only cooking taste,but also the unique feelings inside brought by DIY.Personalized diet tends to diversify the cooking utensils.Molecular cooking utensils characterized by health,personality and experience will become an essential cooking "sharp weapon" for modern cooking enthusiasts.However,because the molecular cooking industry is still in the initial stage in China,related design research of kitchen utensils is too few to make its professional and special technical means available to the public,which indicates an unprecedented market with urgent need for improvement and innovation.Therefore,this paper discussed the new direction of intelligent development of molecular cooking utensils so as to expand and enrich Xiaomi’s intelligent kitchen utensils considering the current level and the future trend,combined with the present popular molecular gastronomy.Firstly,this paper summarized the principles and strategies of intelligent kitchen utensils design after comparing intelligent and traditional kitchen utensils and analyzing the corresponding kitchenware design cases from different angles.Then,with molecular cooking as the background,it dug out the pain spots and target needs according to user behavior through a variety of methods such as online and offline research.Finally,the practical guiding function of the design strategy in Xiaomi’s intelligent molecular cooking kitchenware was tested by product design.This research involves many fields,such as molecular gastronomy,ergonomics,interactive design,intelligent technology and so on.Research and practice were carried out with a rich theoretical basis on the professional resources integration,then a feasible scheme combined with Xiaomi intelligent kitchenware design language was made to serve people’s intelligent life.
