User-center-design is a mainstream thinking in product design in recent years. Varieties of product tend to provide better user experiences to users, which make the people feel the idea of people-oriented design. This kind of tendency appearances in the appliances and universal design firstly。In the field of machine tool design, human center design will be an important point in the future.There are many characters of their own in machine tool design. Nowadays the function is still the main standard to evaluate the machine tool is good or not. Higher precision, faster processing speed and other factors such as life of use determine the value of machine tool. Out looking fellows function. The factor of the user and the humanization of machine tool are treated as the second necessary factor。 Nowadays as the hard market competition, companies pay more attention on humanization of machine tool design as well as other factors such as function and structure. With a better user experiences and recognition, more market share is desired.This article topic relies to a program between institute of industrial design of Shandong University and Dega woodworking engraving Machine Company Jinan. A new edition is required for reform to "1325woodworking engraving machine". The paper does more work on woodworking engraving machine with main research on the relationship between styling element and humanization element. A analysis is made to get a method as user-center-design in woodworking engraving machine which can determine to reflect the people-oriented design engraving machine design styling and design strategies, improve design based on the theory of mechanical products, engraving machines from physics design, industrial design, cognitive design and user experience design analysis of those four aspects engraving machine use friendly design. The user-center-design approach is applied to practice, to reflect the final design of the engraving machine to human-center-design.The main contents of this paper are:(1) Based on the basic standards of user-centered and design practices, an analysis is made to find out elements of user-centered product design and specific requirements of machine tools. (2) Amount of research and analysis is done on the elements of the user center design, to study the deep ties and classified according to their characteristics, divided into four aspects as physical design, industrial design, cognitive design and user experience design, to provide the basis for humane elements description.(3) Analysis of the restrictive conditions of machine design, summed evaluates the degree of human evaluation tools, combined with specific examples use the tool to get personalized products to enhance the mechanical elements.(4) Specific research woodworking engraving machine humane elements, according to their characteristics and environmental features, such as the use of constraints and user needs and experience, proposed factors and direction can be improved to reflect the user-centered design.(5) To achieve engraving machine functions as the basis to study the appearance, structure, and various elements, an evaluation is made based on the user-centered tools for the evaluation of human nature, to get the very elements which current product lacks, and a wood engraving machine redesign program is done.(6) Verification program and user-centered evaluation tool to summarize the advantages and disadvantages, and make further improvements, initially established apply to user-centered design methods of mechanical products.After a series of theoretical studies and proved to user-centered design engraving machine can effectively enhance the humanity of the product, and more to meet the needs of users, providing a better user experience to the user, effectively improve production efficiency, avoid malfunction, but better and faster to correct errors when errors occur. On the whole machinery products have a certain use of assessed value.
