Research On The Reuse Design Of Old Furniture ——Taking Public Seat Design As An Example

The recycling and reuse design of old furniture is an currently important research topic in the field of resource reuse and sustainable design.In order to explore the solution of transforming and converting old furniture into public seating products via a more standardized and systematic reuse design method,this thesis applies the reuse of old furniture to the design of public seating.Aiming to enrich the direction of old furniture reuse design,promote the dissemination of the concept of resource reuse,and improve the sustainability level of the old furniture recycling and reuse system.This thesis uses literature survey,fieldwork,and case analysis to conduct the research.It also focuses on the reuse design transformation at the functional,structural,and material levels,and clarifies the operational process of dismantling,classifying,integrating and reorganizing old furniture,and proposes new design ideas for the construction of the reuse design process of old furniture.This study deepens the ground practice of design methods for reuse of used furniture and provides design countermeasures to enrich the direction and ideas of reuse design of used furniture.Moreover,it provides solutions to improve the insufficiency of standardization and systematization of the process and operation of reuse design of used furniture.
