For the problem of out of plane deformation of the unstiffened steel plate shear wall(SPSW),this paper puts forward a kind of steel frame with buckling-restrained steel plate shear wall using grid multi-ribs(GR-SPSW).The main differences between GR-SPSW and SPSW are the setting of grid multi-ribs on both side of the shear walls which effectively limited the out of plane deformation of the infill plates,weakened the additional internal forces of the surrounding frame generated by tension field,thereby reducing the requirement of anchorage stiffness of steel frame.The initial lateral stiffness and buckling load of GR-SPSW are increased,and the pinch phenomenon of the hysteresis curve is improved.The grid multi-ribs and infill plates are connected with the high strength bolt to avoid the welding defects,and the installation is convenient for the installation of the construction site.Therefore GR-SPSW is an ideal seismic structural system and has a good application prospect.In this article,experimental research,theoretical analysis and numerical simulation are used to study the seismic behavior of GR-SPSW,and the main points of this article are as follows:(1)A 1:3 reduced-scale GR-SPSW with a single span and two stories was tested under low cyclic loading.The experimental results indicated that the lateral bearing capacity,lateral stiffness,energy dissipation ability of GR-SPSW performed well,the overall structure of the lateral displacement curve is curved,and grid multi-ribs effectively prevents infill plates occurred overall buckling,only develop a tension field in the area of grid alone after the plastic buckling.(2)Based on experimental study,the numerical simulation of GR-SPSW was carried out using ABAQUS 6.12.In the process of finite element modeling,the connection property HINGE is used to simplify the nonlinear of semi-rigid connections,and the binding,contact constraints are used to simplify the relationship between infill plates and the grid multi-ribs.The results of ABAQUS are in conformity with the tests which verifies the accuracy of finite element model.(3)In order to obtain the ideal buckling-restrained effect of grid multi-ribbed plates,grid multi-ribbed plates were lots of numerical analysed.Then it proposed the stiffness ratio of stiffener to panel,spacing limit of grid to meet shear yielding precedes elastic buckling by comparing the results of finite element method and the theory of buckling.(4)This paper analysed the mechanics performance of full-scale models with a single span and three stories.The results show that the lateral bearing capacity,lateral stiffness,energy dissipation ability of GR-SPSW behaved well,and the lateral bearing capacity calculation formulas are given for the different buckling-restrained degree according to the numerical analysis results.
