Active Power Filter(APF)is a kind of power electronic device used for dynamic harmonic suppressing and reactive compensating,the device has advantages that can compensate the harmonic and reactive power with the size and the frequency changing.And the harmonic detection method is the key step of active power filter.This paper focuses on the research object of active power filter and the harmonic detection method.Firstly,the topological structure and working principle of active power filter are introduced,and a detailed mathematical model is established.On this basis,this paper analyzes the harmonic detection methods,and giving a selective harmonic successive compensation method based on the fundamental wave extraction.The simulation is carried out on MATLAB/Simulink,the simulation results show that the detection method this article cited can effectively compensate harmonic.On the basis of simulation,A experimental platform is set up for the active power filter with the sampling circuit,the protect circuit and other hardware circuit.The TMS320F28377D DSP chip is choiced as a controller.In order to verifing the detection method based on instantaneous voltage vector orientation with the current id-iq,the physical experiment is done.The experimental results show that the proposed experimental platform and the detection method can compensate harmonics effectively,it also has good dynamic characteristics.The simulation and hardware experiments in this paper verify the feasibility of the theory,which lays a foundation for the further realization of high voltage level and different harmonic current detection methods.
