| As a large country with a vast territory and a huge population,China has a great regional development gap and serious differentiation. It is still the main problem of regional development in China at this stage. As the primary channel and carrier of population movement, cargo transportation and economic exchange between cities and surrounding areas, the transportation system has become the important research topics for regional development. At present, the regional coordinated development becomes the national major strategy. Therefore, analyzing the spatial distribution characteristics of accessibility and linkage in different modes of transportation, comparing differences in regional traffic development, defining the role of cities in the regional transportation network, and exploring the spatial pattern formed by urban connections in the transportation network contribute to urban exchanges, regional complementarity, market integration and coordinated development. In the past year, many achievements have been obtained on the theories and methods of transportation accessibility and intercity linkage. However,on the large spatial scale, there are still many problems such as inaccurate traffic analysis and single research object and method.Firstly,large-scale spatial traffic analysis often involves massive and complex road transportation data, but scholars generally simplify the traffic process or decrease the size of the road network to reduce the difficulty of calculation due to the lack of scientific traffic analysis models and sophisticated methods of data processing, verification and storage. It is difficult to obtain accurate traffic analysis results.Secondly, current research of transportation accessibility and urban linkage mainly focus on the impact on cities and regions with one transportation facility. However,a passenger will choose driving private car or the public transportation which combine by several facilities instead of using only one transportation facility. Finally, most studies of intercity linkage focus on the spatial differences under the gravity model. It is less common to compare the effects and spatial patterns in different modes of transportation through traffic flow.In view of above problems, this paper proposes a complete and accurate traffic analysis method, and uses transportation accessibility, economic linkage intensity and complex network to study the spatial pattern and regional differences of accessibility and linkage of cities in China. We look forward to providing a new research perspective and technical support for traffic construction and regional development. The specific research contents and conclusions are as follows.(1)Definition,implementation and verification of the "door-to-door" multimodal transportation analysis method based on massive open source data.Based on the definition of the "door-to-door" multimodal traffic process accord with actual complete travel chain, the "door-to-door" multimodal transportation analysis method based on massive open source data is implemented by Python with the Internet map service interface. The travel time obtained by this method is verified by the realistic taxi travel time data. The experimental result shows that the method can figure out an accurate travel time. Finally, this method is used to analyze the national intercity O-D network, and the result data are reorganized and stored for the subsequent research transportation accessibility and intercity linkage.(2)Analysis of the spatial patterns and disparities on accessibility in different transportation modes.According to the results of traffic analysis, the spatial patterns and statistical characteristics of transportation accessibility in national, regional and city scales are evaluated based on the accessibility model, and the differences in accessibility between different transportation modes and facilities are analyzed.According to the results, although the statistical characteristics and regional distribution of every accessibility model are disparate, they all show a circle-like structure with a decreasing center-to-edge.The accessibility of driving mode is better than the accessibility of transit mode in the same region.Public transportation is the main factor of the diversity inner region. The high-speed railway can significantly improve the daily accessibility of cities along the railway with "corridor effect" and "site effect".(3)Research on the characteristics and diversities of intercity linkage of population and economy in different transportation modes.According to the population flow data and the massive open-source path data, the population flow network and the economic linkage network are constructed respectively. The characteristics of intercity linkage in different transportation modes are analyzed from the perspective of complex network and economic linkage. The results demonstrate that the hierarchical relationships of cities in both two population flow networks are similar, but the forms of linkage community are different:the cities are closer in same community in the driving network, while the communities in the transit network are more interlaced. The central cities in the transit network are more attractive for population and play an obviously intermediary role in network. The economic linkages are mainly distributed in the eastern region and midland. The economic linkages in driving mode are greater, but the inter-regional economic linkages in transit mode are more frequent, and impacts of developed cities are more extensive. |
