In recent years,China has achieved rapid development and great achievements.The influence and competitiveness of China’s manufacturing industry has also rapidly improved.But in today’s fast changing markets,technology advances,under the background of global economic integration,Chinese auto manufacturers is also facing more competitive and pressure.K company as an automotive enterprises,hopes to study advanced production methods to improve the management level,to improve the competitiveness and reduce costs.This thesis mainly discussed the method of lean production and tools,analyzed the current situation of the production system in K company,and the main problems in production management.Using the two tools of lean production mode,"Levelling production" and "SMED",the spray painting workshop production system was improved.First of all,the main problems of production management of K company are analyzed."Levelling production" and "SMED" is the first two steps to implement Lean production.Secondly,the implementation steps of the Levelling production of painting workshop are described in detail.Through the improvement,the lot size of production is reduced by 46%,which greatly reduces the production cost.Finally,the time of the paint changeover is reduced to 15 minutes from the 40 minutes per times by SMED method,the changeover time of the paint is obviously reduced,and the overall equipment efficiency is improved also.This thesis can provide some reference of lean production methods and ideas to the similar companies.
