As an special mechatronic equipment for continuous flow of people,escalator is now playing a more and more significant role in people’s work and life.With the development of society,the requirements on safety of escalator becomes higher.The main drive chain is an important part of the drive system,therefore study on its vibration is significant and necessary.This thesis mainly takes the vibration of chain system as target,and conducts the experimental analysis,analytical modeling and numerical simulation research based on existing results.The results had been put into engineering application.Firstly,this paper designed the testing rig according to the requirements and operating conditions,and a non-contact scheme was proposed to escalator based on videometrics and digital image processing.Two data processing plans and the application software were put forward according to binary and morphological algorithm,which could finish the fixpoint detection and link-trace in different conditions.The transverse vibration of chain was studied in different conditions,like up and down,static and dynamic loading,and some special phenomenons were explained.Secondly,kinematics and dynamic analysis were carried out for the main drive system.Especially in dynamic analysis,this paper focused on the transverse vibration of lumped parameter model and string model.Compared with experimental data,the models’ correctness is verified,and its characteristics and scope of application are defined.Based on models,the paper explores the influence of tension and excitation,and application software were developed that can fit all kinds of chains for escalator.Finally,two numerical simulation models were established in paper.One is the contact mechanical model of the meshing of sprocket and link,which is used to verify and modify the excitation input in the theoretical model.Another one is multi-body dynamics model of main drive chain system for escalator.It discussed the influences of chain rupture,preload,dynamic load,system stiffness,friction,which enriched experiment and theory.In this paper,experimental conclusion under different conditions throughout the full research,which laid the foundation of analytical model and numerical simulation.The contest of three aspects has its own emphasis and supplement each other,which has a certain reference value for the study and engineering design of the main drive chain system in escalator.
